Would love a cup run and think we should take it seriously now we’ve got ourselves to a strongish position in the league.

Luka, Zaha, Townsend and Cabaye have run themselves into the ground recently, Roy should send them away for a few days to get some deserved rest. I’d play all the others:

Hennessey
TFM - Tomkins - Kelly - PVA
Reidewald
McArthur - RLC
Sako - Benteke - Schlupp

Strongish position? We are 2 points off relegation. Roy might worry that easing up in the cup could rub off onto our performances in the league. Apart from that, I agree with everything you say.

I think we have a pretty decent group of players that can step up. I think Sako needs a start as a reward, but I don’t think he is good enough for the league, I wouldnt mind seeing us like this on Monday.

Ward - Damo - Riedewald - Souare

Kaikai - lee - MacArthur- pva

———Sako — Ladapo

Ward is injured and Souare still isn't himself...as for Lee no ta.

I'd like to see a couple of the kids such as Wan Bissika and Hungbo get a chance in this one

Something like this. Wrap Zaha in cotton & silk and send him, girlfriend and kid to Dubai or Ibiza for a long weekend. Rest Cabaye, Andros and Tomkins as well. We're flying high, but our team will be in big trouble with further (long time) injuries. Let Brighton have their moment of triumph - then smash them back home. PS! So happy for Luka with his winner yesterday - you could tell by his celebration what it meant for him burying the missed penalty like this.

thing is Zaha above everyone else knows what it means to play Br13hton...so even if Woy did try an drop him; he'd likely insist upon playing

Rest rest rest. Screw the cup

Give the young lads a chance, I expect Brighton will do much the same.

You may not be too wide of the mark. Given we are threadbare we cannot afford injuries to first teamers and a few could do with a rest.

Our last cup run with Pardue almost got us relegated, and what did it earn us, peanuts.
The risk with injuries and fatigue are huge and could cost us survival in the Premiership.
The sooner we are out of the cup the better for us, and what is the FA cup worth verses the Premiership, one is a few games at best, the other is a whole season.

I had a couple of great days out at Wembley plus the excitement associated by a cup run (went to both the Southampton and Reading away games). That should not be overlooked. I will leave this one to Roy. He clearly knows what he's doing. Our team maybe one that thrives on more games. Heart says go for it but my head says we will definitely make a few changes.

We are playing our biggest rivals and just to rub their noses in it and bragging rights is what football is all about.

We haven't played them for years before this season, we sing songs about them, most of us detest them, its a one off cup game...full squad and beat the scum.

Cup run would be nice , the league is more important but this one game,we have to win.

When the fixtures came out there were only 2 games I looked out for...Home and away to that mob and now drawn in the cup...fantastic...we have to win this one.

Can't believe some Palace fans would be happy to play a weakend squad against the Weed...beggars belief

Next round I'd totally agree, but just after a ridiculous Xmas period, and with a threadbare squad, I'm not so sure!

I'd far rather help relegate them when they come to Selhurst than knock them out of a cup they won't win anyway

I'd love to win this game but expect to see numerous changes from both teams making it, effectively, a reserve team fixture.

Last thing we need is more injuries and the fact that both Palace and Brighton are struggling to sell tickets shows that many fans don't have the appetite for this game.

A season ago and it would have been very different but with the last game being so recent (and boring) who can blame people for not wanting to put up with all of the crap that goes with this match.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Rest?

You must be joking, after Saints it is obvious we should be playing every other day.

Against Brighton would love to see us play them off the park with assertive flowing football.

And that's the key to survival and cup runs etc. in the end it is the type of football you deliver on the pitch.

COYP.
