Saturday was a crappy day for us. 2 rivals got wins.
3 other rivals got a draw. Including going to old trafford and getting a point. A tough act to follow.

Yes, but I get the feeling that there will be some weekend when results go in our favour and some weekends when they don't.

It is becoming obvious that our current squad is not good enough to prevent the dreaded drop and we will be reliant on the transfer activity to secure our survival.

Could it be that you would have preferred to say:-

It is becoming obvious that our currently played in PL matches squad is not good enough to prevent the dreaded drop and we will be reliant either on our young players being given opportunity to impress to secure more PL game time or using transfer activity (buying of finished (or work in progress) products)to secure our survival. This is just Willo putting on his sackcloth and ashes and going round telling everyone we're rubbish and we're inevitably going down. He does it every season.

Results were not good to us but that will happen sometimes won't it.
More worrying for me is that I don't see us getting more than another 17 points this season with the squad as it is now.
We have dropped too many points against weak sides at home and that will cost us come May.
Very worried to be honest.

Isn't this (basically) another way of saying what Willo said?

Franks incompetence put us in an impossible position.
No goals no points after seven games.
Now Roy's influence has given us more hope than we could have dreamed of.
I would rather be in our form since the first seven games of the season than just about any team from Watford(inclusive)down.
They are all very average and all capable of losing to each other thus some must win sometimes.

I don't agree at all.
Once we got a manager and our important players back from injury we showed we are totally able to compete with low table teams, and we even climbed the table up to safety places despite the horrible start.
Now, we absolutely need to strengthen the team as we are short of players in some areas, but that is to make CERTAIN we stay up instead of being POSSIBLE that we stay up, but I think we would be able to stay up anyway.
Statistically, we made 18 pts with 4 matches of De Boer, 5-6 without Zaha and 5-6 without a striker, I don't see why we couldn't make another 18 in a full half season with all players available.

Wouldn't bother too much about what the others did, in fact congratulations to them - at the end of the day it's what we do that's important. Win today, burst the City bubble.
