Beats me why don’t start up a pay per view service of premier games live. I would be more than happy to pay a tenner to watch the game as opposed to messing about and usually failing to watch some s***e streaming. Its not allowed to screen games on a Saturday afternoon due to the effect it would have oj lower league and non league attendances.

It will certainly be a calmer, more peaceful place without you as of the six yellow cards that I have handed out since becoming a moderator four of them have been to individuals who have been unable to hold back their tempers when responding to your posts. As a final request I would be grateful if you could confine your farewell speeches to this thread only rather than announcing your forthcoming retirement in every suitable thread All credit to me for keeping my composure and dignity in the face of virulent and unwanted brickbats and unlike others not gallivanting down the road of personal insults and slurs. As for "Farewell speeches" I reject the claim that I have used purposely used various threads to announce my intentions - if the debate has come around to this then it is a result of posters who have raised this matter. I specifically said I would make NO formal announcement at all and had NO intention whatsoever of continuing spreading this message hence my comments which you ludicrously refer to as "Farewell speeches" were purely reactionary.Certainly NO valediction from me. Now let's get back to the subject matter. Thank You. Edited by Willo (26 Dec 2017 8.51am)

Anyone who thinks I'm going to toddle down to Cliftonville to see the s***e that regularly gets served up in Scottish League One just because I can't watch Palace on TV seriously needs his bumps felt.

A couple of weeks ago Airdrieonians v Raith Rovers was live on BBC Alba with commentary in Gaelic. The two clubs are six miles apart in the Central Belt and about a six week journey from anywhere that Gaelic is spoken. But it was a 3pm kick off so eviently tbis stupid rule can be broken if you have a good enough reason, e.g promoting Gaelic. Edited by chateauferret (26 Dec 2017 10.36am)

Won't make any formal announcement regarding the 'Curtain coming down' - it will just be apparent Best wishes to you as well and have a great Christmas.
Willo, I have to admit I rarely agree with you and have completely opposite views to you on most things. That said the world would be a dull place if everyone agreed on everything and I find some of your posts amusing.

Their next game is Home to Everton who have only conceded 2 goals in their 5 league games under Allardyce. Get the feeling that WBA will actually win this one by a narrow margin with Rondon on the scoresheet. Pards has now got the Baggies 3 points in 6 games doing no better than Pulis, although their fans are still so happy to be rid of the 'Pulis' style of football, even if the Championship beckons!!

To get us back on topic: Results today have gone our way with West Ham and Bournemouth sharing a point a piece with Bournemouth’s last minute controversial goal. On the other hand, we are only a point above the drop zone as opposed to 2 beforehand. A point against Arsenal could be massive, a win would be beyond my wildest dreams whereas a loss won’t be devastating. Happy days! Also worth noting that Southampton losing and Stoke and Huddersfield sharing a point keeps the bottom half pack tight too.

Fairly happy with today's results. If we get 3 points against the gooners we could be mid table. My Half glass full is starting to look fuller. COYP

What odds are being offered on nine points from next three games? At one pound per bet it is only £7.00 for the full accumulator (- Three individual wins - win one and two + win one and three + win two and three - win all three. what would be best place for my spare money - bookmaker or two and a half Wetherspoon pints?

Not sure if yesterday's game was one point gained or two points lost.
So definitely a point gained for us while, perhaps more importantly, it was two points that Swansea desperately needed that they didn't get.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |
