That's not a personal dig. I actually believe the site would be markedly improved but we can't find out unless you try it and you weren't going to try it without a request. Even then you're not, so the site continues in it's downward spiral.

It's been noticed, and mentioned, by numerous posters - even by some who rarely post or those have drifted away because of it. There was even a thread by Penge about overhauling the forums due to yourself and others being unable to turn every single thread into the same old nonsense.

Which you are doing here.

The fact that there are quite a few contributions on this thread - which I started because of current events ( I think it should be included in general talk) - discussing it.

Now it's not down to you what I choose to post about. If you have a problem, tell the mods or just ignore the thread.

Thank you for listening.

You cannot see the wood for the trees.

3 posts I've made. 1st replies to the pointless thread, 2nd is a reply to your question, 3rd is trying to explain my request after your refusal.

You don't even realise what it is you do that is alienating so many users and ex-users of this site.

You didn't get an actual reply to this thread until about 11 posts have been made because firstly, everyone knows you already have an angle and do not actually want any reasoned debate, and secondly, all of it is covered elsewhere on the site or could be in other existing threads. You have to start and regurgitate your own threads, basically you're a narcissist.

You can't listen to a written reply.

A bit harsh, maybe, as he is not the only one and to be fair, he started the thread and if posters don't like the thread they don't have post.

However Nick and others must know EXACTLY what the responses are going to be to a particular thread and who will reply. In fact it seems like certain posts are only put up as a dig to the other posters who they know will reply, not really about real debate. Click bait.

The worst thing is when someone different puts up a post and it's hijacked into the same ole sh!te by the usual suspects, although not the case here.

I don't think the site would be the same without ALL the different opinions expressed but maybe it's time for a politics tab on the board that doesn't appear on the all forums section. Just a suggestion.

Personally, I think Boris' tacit admission that our lady in Iran was doing stuff that the government of that country would class as seditious is just the sort of transparency our administration should be aspiring to.

They really are a hapless bunch and know full well that the country would vote them out if a GE was called now.

We should send a gunboat - or better still, nuke them.

I agree. Conservative Central Office - if still at Smith Square - would be an easy mark for gunboat on the Thames.

I think at some point the public decide in their minds enough is enough.

But when and how, 'there's nowt so queer as folk'

I think if she forks out 50 billions to talk trade that will be quite a humiliation.

I think from previous crises they just go on day after day and really there is so much to come from the tories we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg, even the faithful must see through them.

Don't mention it on the Hol though. People find it boring and repetitive apparently.

Yes it's wrong this woman is jailed, but Boris has only made it worse, even if he claims it hasn't.

Does May even have the gumption to get rid of such a liability.
