I think we got promoted in spite of Holloway not because.
The game he was introduced to the crowd, can t remember the oppo, we played like Barca. As soon as he took over Dougies foundations of a team of leaders slowly unravelled. He did sign Phillips tho.

This!! we went on an awful run, i felt like the team did what they wanted in the play off and it paid off.

I have to say Trevor Francis, simply because he was the one that finally made me go through with the threat I'm sure we've all uttered "That's it, I'm not renewing my season ticket"

Those fans' forums. A chance to discuss how sh1t something was going to be before he did it, and he always went ahead anyway. Remember the one just before buying Akinbiyi? My drunk mate told Francis it would go badly.

I gave up my season ticket because of him and then he got sacked. Francis was awful, but I'd still have him over Mullery.
Most ridiculous phrase on this thread, "Dougie's World beaters", do me a favour.
Any manager that's got us promoted or to a cup final cannot be considered, otherwise the question is "What manager didn't you like?"

Don't get the Paul Hart mention, thought he done well to keep us up,especially in the circumstances he took the job on.

I almost edited the post immediately after making it to read 'permamnent Manager' lol as I just knew there'd be a temp one with fewer loses...would Steve Kember also count I wonder?

Whilst Mullery 'came with a history' , I think Terry Venables outshines the lot for his participation in nearly destroying our club.
Now imagine playing Countdown, and see what words you can make from the following selections:

IEFTH
RKOOC
OBBERR

A good Manager for us, but he took us to the brink.

I disengage, I turn the page.
