The foul on Townsend was given because he isn't Zaha. Too many refs do perceive Palace as being a dirty team. however Yellow Card score was 1-2. we have to hope that we do not get the class of referee who would give both WZ and AT red cards for diving when they are fouled in the penalty area.

I have to say that Madley’s performance on Saturday was poor. He really seems to have a down on Wilf and is very slow to give him anything yet I still very quick to give decisions in favour of others. West Ham were quick to go down even if there was no challenge and Madley was happy to oblige. There were a number of occasions, particularly in mid-field when their tackles were given the benefit of the doubt and ours weren’t. I’d be happy if we don’t see Mr Madley again.

I’d be happy if we don’t see Mr Madley again.
