No, he would be being criticised for all the goals and some distribution etc etc. Speroni did well today, looked solid and authoritative and above all composed. Did enough to get his place IMHO. Don't know how keen he is to play every week, however. Edited by chateauferret (15 Oct 2017 12.42am)
In [Link] Jules is quoted as saying: "It is so important that you play as team and pull together to get the result, it is about hard work. "I have been missing playing and especially taking part in games here at Selhurst with such a great atmosphere. I prepare every day in training to be ready to play and be available for the next game and hopefully I will get the chance to play the next game but I will wait and see."

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Speroni Must Start Every Game' by Penge Eagle Just let me say, this is not a sl@g off of Hennessy. When Speroni is in goal, it lifts the crowd..MASSIVELY. Which in turn lifts the players. Then bloke bleeds red and blue. It felt like our club again yesterday. “This is a crisis, a large crisis.... in fact if you have a moment, it’s a 12 storey crisis, magnificent entrance hall, carpeting throughout, 24 hour portage , and an enormous sign on the roof saying “This , is a large crisis” - Edmund Blackadder |

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Speroni Must Start Every Game' by Penge Eagle Sorry chap, I know what you're saying and I think Speroni is better than WH. But no-one must start every game. Jules must start the next game, but he must play well if he wants to play the game after that. The same has to go for every player.
You'll be forever in my family's memories and it was an honor and privilege to play and lead in the red and blue |

He is a very poor player who went down to league one with Wolves without anyone asking any questions until we foolishly signed him. That doesn't happen with any player that is even half decent let alone any good. What a huge, steaming pile of text-based faeces, by that same reasoning I could come back at you saying he's the same keeper that took a team to the semi-finals of Europe in 2016.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Speroni Must Start Every Game' by Penge Eagle Speroni had nothing much to do and if the Chelsea shots on goal had been on target they would have beaten him. I really don't know why Hennessey gets so much stick. Our current position is not his fault. Signing a top keeper is not so easy.

Our current position is not his fault. Signing a top keeper is not so easy. He gets so much stick due to him being f*cking useless, not commanding his area and has no respect from his defenders. Quite important things for being a goalkeeper I think...

The Hennessey supporters seem to think this is a Speroni vs Hennessey debate. In my eyes Its purely about having a competant keeper between the sticks. Speroni had a steady game, distribution was ok and he didn't take any silly risks like throwing it to marked players. The goal was a point blank header, PVA clearly lost his man. You only had to see his save from the Batshuayi shot (which was called offside) that he still has the agility. He did some poor distribution . Put us back under pressure a couple of times.

Keeper blameless for the goal. Free header from close range and the lack of Benteke in the front corner of the 6 yard box didn't help. That position is always for the big centre forward who is good in the air and that guy is the reason so many corners hit the first man as his position makes the corridor for the corner kicker far smaller than without him placed there. Need more height in the team possibly.

Was a miss header , he did not mean to head it down 4 yards in front of goal , maybe straight down into corner , or straight into net , it seemed to go in very slow , do you not think Speroni could have reacted quicker ?
