Media just love to kick the $hit out of anything/ anyone when they are down. I fear there's plenty more to come because we are going to be struggling for some time yet.

i hate to think how you would react to 7 years treading wayer intue championship.

lets be honest here simpletons, parish is not the problem...the jones' who have no morgage can afford a new block paved driveway & conservatory...while we can afford gravel driveway and a greenhouse.

thats the problem...were taking a loan to shop at lidl whilst others are using cash behind the sofa to go to waitrose.

lets not pretend anything new is happening, im 35 and since i was 10 weve been burning thru managers like they were yesterdays news, weve always been a bit of a basketcase club.

either accept it and go with the flow or (i hate saying this) go support another club.

parish hasnt sold the club to a mug and kept the ground

parish hasnt morgaged the clubs future to hedge funds and lied to fans about buying the ground back selling t-shirts in yhe club shop

he has however, guided the club to its most successful period in history...geez he really is some big problem.

Yeah our league is highly competitive but still made up largely of mercenaries here for the money.

Then mugs like us go and spend well over the odds weekly to watch them, while we and the media treat them like they're gods

It's never going to go back to how it was but when you compare our league to Germany, I would take the German model any day of the week.

Very accurate post.

1 fit striker in our 25 man squad. It's championship standard.

Parish can't keep a manager and what have we shown in all our time in the Prem? You'd think we'd be noving forward wouldn't you. Instead tho we are going backwards.

If we go down this season then we've absolutely f*** all to show for the last 5 years.

I don't need to go support another club. I would be happy to go back down to the championship.

Football is f***ing stupid now. Overpaid tossers that don't give a s***.

If that is the case, why do you keep moaning about everything Palace.
What has any club that goes down, got to show for it, except devastation and redundancies.

We've been the media's sweetheart for the last four years, now the knives are out for us.

Salako's showing himself to be a bitter and spiteful media bitch. On that note though Parish should step back from social media, stop having spats with kids on Twitter and sort this sh*t out.

We're looking at going eight games, no points and no goals. Relegation is a real possibility this season and the way we're breaking unwanted records we could go down with less points than Derby did.

Right now Cabaye is giving far more than Punch, but the constant change of managers, coaches, tactics going on. How can anyone settle and give their best? Not making excuses for the poor loves, but stability is a dirty word at Palace and the team are suffering from the lack of continuity.
Let's try and forget the wages the players are on shall we? It's just a diversion from our real problems and anyway they are on the going rate, like it or not. Until we get stability on the management side we will struggle. We had a poor window, but who were we supposed to buy when we didn't know who the manager was going to be. If SP and FdB's relationship had broken down so badly why did we wait till after the window to sack him?
We have no direction, no identity, no soul at this club right now IMO. Sadly everyone at the club appears to be just an employee at this moment in time with absolutely no feelings or passion for the club and I'm not sure Roy is the sort of personality to get them all fired up again.
Parish has got a lot to answer for and so have the Americans, because I'll be f***ed if I know what they've done since coming on board?
We really do all need to stick together, problem is it's probably too late.

Spot on. Totally correct about the manager issue. 2 strong managers have jumped ship at the end of the season, others have got the boot. We just don't seem to be a club that can keep hold of managers. Some clubs deliberately swap them but ours I feel like above, needs stability. Can't see Hodgson being here for more than 1-2 seasons whatever happens and we're be looking for another manager. We don't need a visionary, just a youngish, experienced top level coach who can work within the framework of the club to achieve something long term.

I don't think anyone expects Roy to stay for more than a season or two irrespective of league status. Maybe that's the reason Steven Reid was brought in? Possibly to serve an apprenticeship so to speak.

Agree, this isn't the correct course of action at the moment. Also it is highly likely that we will have our worse points figure after 10 games since we returned to the PL. Looks like "the clock has been turned back" to Ollie's days. Let's hope that the springs haven't fallen out permanently. Not sure if Hodgson, unlike Pulis is the man to save us now but unfortunately we have backed ourselves into a corner in relation to the manager's spot. We shall have to wait and see. COYP !!

Palace always struggle in the top flight and this period is no different. In 1970 they stayed up with the lowest points total ever. The following year they did better. In the next year the completely changed the team and stayed up. They were finally relegated when 'on paper' they had a much better Coach and squad.

During the next longest spell under Coppell, we just about stayed up in 1990. We then finished 3rd in the second season.
We struggled in the third season when we swapped Wright for Gabbiadini. Nothing worked in the final season and down we went.

In this present period, the pattern of constant struggle every year has continued and is likely to continue for the foreseeable future.

Like everyone who posts on here, finally I would like to be confident that the club is going in the right direction both on and off the pitch. Unfortunately, I am not feeling this at the moment. Lets hope that now the club can pull it together, but it looks as though our usual companions'frustration' and 'disappointment' are going to be with us for a while yet.

Mmm, you'd think all the people saying how much better the Championship was would be delighted with our current trajectory.

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.
