It's never our fault is it Rudi? Always someone else's, all Franks fault. "Too cold" "too weird" "showing off". To me it just appears that the players have a poor attitude and need to have a long hard look at themselves tbh if the reports are true. They didn't have to like Frank, but he's been hired to do a job and they are obscenely paid footballers who should apply themselves and carry out what is being expected of them from the gaffer for a lot longer than 4 games. We can say what we want about "behind closed doors" but no one knows what went on and what has just happened wouldn't of happened at any other club (and I know that because it's the shortest premier league reign in history). It's no coincidence that Frank de Boer came to Palace and left with that on his CV & for me it's a much bigger reflection on us as a club than it is him as a manager. I know people will be quick to tell me "I don't want to see" or whatever but I think in the footballing world in general you're massively in the minority and if this were to happen at Sunderland/Villa/Newcastle etc. I'd be looking on with the exact same contempt. Prime and extreme example of everything that's wrong with English football in 2017. God, what actual part of Frank promising gradual evolution and ripping it up within hours, zero agreement from the board, and nowhere near enough ability in the squad or available net spend don't you understand, man. Doexnt ghe evidence of Luka give you evidence of Frank? Ward as a right back? Yeah sure. For the best he's gone. More motorway crashes were round the corner. I'd rather you reply with 'we'll never know' than witnessing them. Same as Pardew carrying on the worst 12 month record within thousands of miles.

Just checked his history, this is his list of teams so far... Halmstad Could anyone please tell me who we could find that is even close to being as experienced as him? The guy was knighted in Finland for his work out there!!! But let me guess, you don't like him because England got embarrassed once and you find him boring in interviews? Everyone since 1966 has failed at the England job so that doesn't mean anything. As for being boring, Holloway wasn't boring but I didn't hear anyone calling for his return...

It is as if you are almost willing him to fail just so you can big up your on line profile. To be honest the vast majority on here couldn't give a sh.t about that but do care whether we get 3 points on Saturday.

There are too many people on these boards that are taking every article with supposed 'leaks' being written (players not liking FdB, players told they are crap etc) as definite fact and using them to try and construct their argument supporting the sacking of FdB. The same can be said about what was apparently promised in FdB's job interview by FdB and the club. The only fact is that unless there is someone on these boards that is an actual insider, none of us know the ins and outs so stop basing discussion around those areas. FdB made mistakes in selection and maybe wrongly believed he could come to Palace and educate the players so that they could play in his favoured formation for the first game of the season. After 3 games he changed the formation and showed adaptability which ultimately led to probably the best footballing performance we have seen in a damn long time. We lost however even the biggest anti FdB supporter should admit that we didn't lose due to tactics. Quite how Rudi knows we would have reverted back to 3-4-3 I am unsure. Again..there is no evidence of this. He should have been provided at least saturdays games to see if there was progress. We did see some form of evolution in terms of Youngsters like Lokilo being on the bench and used ahead of Mutch, Sako, Kelly etc. It would be a shame if we abandon that element of FdB's philosophy. Not only does it save in appearance fees etc it would have also given those in the academy additional belief that there was route to the 1st team squad.

Rattus, you are without doubt the most stubborn around here right now. You'd give ash Bilko a good go. Are you telling me Frank didn't go against everything he said when he got the job and must've said in interview as the same was said by Parish, and then make a complete mess of it? Pray tell. His interviews he didn't scrap 3 at the back and post Burnley said so too. If you look at the shambolic handling of Luka and then the RWB and Ward handling and lunacy and can tell me that's wise or going to fill the the squad with confidence then I'd like to hear it. He preferred Southampton, off were interested not that long ago and rushed what he agreed he'd take his time over you work it out. Or don't. Maybe you can't.

Lots of fiesty contretemps on here regarding "Fact", "Rumours", "Conjecture", "Supposition", Uncle Tom Cobley and all.I can understand the erudite arguments advanced on here. All I am prepared to do is to propound that a manager does not lose his job on the basis of results in his first 4 games in charge.I will leave it at that.

I see it is a bonus. That every morning when I wake up Roy is still alive. I am concerned though about how his contract with us affects his state pension. I am not sure he has thought it through properly. Edited by Kermit8 (14 Sep 2017 9.57am)

Normally nobody would sack a manager just for losing four games, especially if two of the performances were decent. So it follows that either Parish has taken leave of his senses or that de Boer was incredibly s***. Now the former can be ruled out because the rest of the Board acts as a brake on a chariman doing stupid things. Therefore, de Boer must have been incredibly s***. This conclusion is not inconsistent with many of the more circumstantial evidence we have concerning his conduct, treatment of players, and good faith with regard to strategy. Quod erat demonstrandum. Edited by chateauferret (14 Sep 2017 10.25am)
