Yes I just saw this. The reporter looked a bit amateurish and kept looking at his phone for players names though.

However he did say cpfc source says the transfer is not true - so pretty much rules this one out! If that is right just goes to show the amount of absolute bs that gets put out online - with stories like disagreement over structure of the deal etc. Pure fantasy.

Really hope this deal isn;t dead. this guy looks like the perfect fit for the backup striker we need. can fill in across the top line - and threaten CB for his place. Real Healthy competition.

Not really. I honestly don't beleive we had the money.

We need a target man back up for benteke. Cenk isn't that player. He is a townsend type player. We do need him for deffo as we have no decent players of this type in reserve. But more importantly if benteke gets injured we are f***ed. Hence why niasse. But that fell through due to agent fees.

The money for cenk offered was offered to be paid mostly over a three year period aparently. Which proves they simply didn't have the cash up front for him.

If anything they left it late due to hoping his parent club would make a quick silly decision.
