I don't know if FdB would be the best or worst manager in Palace history, but I'm Palace and the day he signed he became Palace too. Therefore we're supposed to have his back, he's one of us and he's been let down terribly if he's forced out so soon. Let down by a lack of transfer activity and lied to by a board that told him he had the backing of a very loyal bunch of fans.
Opinions are varied and all are equally valid, I just take exception to the tone and language used against one of our own. Abusing someone to their face or online is never and should never be acceptable. If we are a laughing stock it's our own doing and if we do sack him we deserve to go down. With so much s*** going on in the world it honestly baffles me how people can get so bent out of shape over a game of football.
Sad thing is the next manager will have his detractors before a ball is even kicked and that agenda will continue until he's kicked out also.
To make a decision on someone after such a short length of time to me is foolish, no one has a crystal ball, so no one knows the future.
Parish needs to come out and let us all know what's going on.

Kind of get your point but the difference is what I've seen in front of me is a man who is tactically inflexible and unable to take us forward. Is this unfair after three games? Possibly. But look at the facts. Defensively we've been a shambles. The players look completely out of sorts (Luka is a fine example of this) and Benteke is completely isolated.

The board haven't given him a huge war chest but if Ruedewaald is the type of player he wants at the club then we're in trouble. Cute centre halves don't fit our style.

So, yes three games seems harsh but what I've seen is more than alarming. Our displays under Holloway and Warnock were far more competent. FDB talked about top 10! Not going to happen.

Who cares if we are a 'laughing stock' if we sack de Boer after three games? I don't actually think we would be, not that it is important. Results are what counts.

The fact is that after three games we have no points, have not scored a goal, do not look like a team that is improving and have gone backwards from last season. It is plain that it is not going to work.

Getting rid of him now gives us a chance of survival. I would support that and wish de Boer all the best going forward in his career.

I can't see him being dismissed after just 3 games. But have to agree with you Willo, Freedman will not be the answer.

I totally agree, this would be a disaster. You couldn't trust Freedman on any level.

Sam found that the players 'froze' and just didnt play at home, He worked with psychologist to change thevdefeatist mentality of the players. I dont think FdB has the skill hset to understand this or take appropriate action. Sadly, the best course of action is for FdB to go now, for Freedman to take over as caretaker, and for a Sean Dyche type of manager to take over before Christmas. Palace do have a lot of good players, but we do need a leader on the pitch like Sakho.

Give your head a wobble son...That same group of players failed to win in the first 8 games for Big Sam, that same group of players lost to Sunderland 4 - 0, same group got embarrased by Swansea Twice!. The only thing I know is they are capable of is embarrassing us fans. Its the crap players we have that's the issue. Im not absolving FDB of blame but ijesus you must see we have total dross in our side.

Ignorant you say? lol go to bed mate

A very well summed up article from the Guardian that highlights the feelings of a great many Palace supporters. FdB's appointment was too much of a gamble from the start and his tactics thus far have turned even our previously better performers into very poor ones. For the experiment to work from the start, FdB needed to have the cash to buy the players required for his system that would also fit into the physical side of Premiership football. Players like Riedewald, whilst no doubt adapting in time, are not the immediate answer as he looked completely out of his depth against Huddersfield who are meant to be one of the weaker sides in the League. Our American investors will not put with the situation for much longer and it may be that they will be questioning SP's future judgement as he had so much time to make the right appointment but has ended up in a situation a la Pardew.

I think I have said before on HOL than an abject FDB failure could be somewhat embarrassing for Parish who conducted a protracted and detailed selection process.Perhaps it might not be all the fault of FDB but Parish will be seen as the man who selected him.

The thing is if you appoint someone with FdB's vision of how to play, you've got to then back him with some money surely? And also with the exception of when Sakho was playing, our form was very poor for most of last season - so it's not like he's inherited a winning squad - nothwithstanding that we have one or two very good players.
