It's an interesting idea in the video. How far would you extend family? Second cousins, in laws? Would you like to be punished if one of your relatives was a wrong un?

You didn't answer the first part. Should in laws be deported?

I'd say you are being the opposite. I think that applies to everyone, and doesn't really require the indiscriminately either. I don't think that any issue can be attributed easily to a single decision mind, the US NATO and European campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan (and Libya) aren't entirely without consequence in world events, nor equally are the actions of players in the middle east or Islamist groups rise within the middle and far east. Nothing is simple about anything.

What that guy just suggested for starters. 1000? How many Nick? Nothing to do with human rights, you'd have to completely change British law from its fundamental principles inherent from the days of Magna Carta's influence. The idea of punishing people who are not guilty is about as anti-British as I can imagine something being. It also affects the right to a fair trial, among other cornerstones of the British Justice system. Its odd that someone who complains about tearing down statues as the thin edge of the wedge, would suggest a system of 'justice' that would effectively set precedent for tyranny.

Are you sure, though, that you aren't. I mean one of your close friends might be or a family member could be involved in something - Just because they're not Muslim doesn't mean they're not 'involved'. Its a call for handing over the power of tyranny to the state, which almost certainly will never return it. I mean the easiest argument is then, well we have a bigger problem with Murder in the UK, than terrorism....

Nothing is simple about anything. Precisely. In the here and now we have to protect our citizens against those who want to harm them. There will be innocent victims in any action we take.

The bloke who runs the newsagents down the road isn't a terrorist and as far as he knows neither are any of his family. If his second cousin twice removed commitred an act of terrorism, who will run the shop. What happens to any assets they have?
