If Parish wants a manager to change the playing style (which does need to be done), he should provide greater and quicker backing in the transfer market to bring in the players required.
To have only played 4 pre-season games shows an amateurish lack of preparation, which was evident from the players lack of awareness of the system and serious lack of fitness levels.

That's being rather unkind to Tony Cascarino.
I remember seeing him play for Crockenhill back in the 80s.

Followed by 12 pints in the Chequers!

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

Put it this way, if he cocks this job up, having done the same at Inter, he won't be working much for the foreseeable future. My main concern was not so much that he's trying something that doesn't seem to be working, but that he took no responsibility for it after Saturday's game. If he can't be objective about his own performance then we could be in for a Pardew-style slide a la 2016.

This concerned me as well.

Steve Parish made it quite plain when he was appointed that his first job was to remove us from permanent relegation candidates

An approach similar to big Sam's would have done this with relatively moderate investment IMO.

One of the biggest reasons we struggled to win at home is the lack of a midfield player who'll find you a goal from outside or edge of the box. In the past this was one of Puncheon's strengths.

Hopefully Sam will be ready to get back in the game come December 2017 then!
