I spoke to a baggies fan on social media and they alluded that they don't have any left backs. I know brunt plays there but not a recognised fullback. He ask me what ward was like. I said he played LB and defensive mid under pulis. He said he can see ward playing left back. Surprising really.

Certainly is especially when Ward is not comfortable on his left foot.

He's played there for us. Not ideal, but Baggies can't be choosies.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

I'd be amazed if Fosu-Mensah plays CB. He has consistently played on the right for Manure, has the legs and likes to get forward. If he plays in the back 3 we'd have a 20 year old and a 19 year old either side of Dann and that gives me chills. I expect a CB to come in.

I knows about football I does....

Frank on Timmy.

“I am seeing him in our system as a right centre back but he can also play full back in a 4-3-3.”

Ward is by some distance the player who has played most for Palace in the Premier league but all top 4 have question marks over their future

i feel quite a lot of people are being extremely disrespectful towards ward on this site recently.

apart from getting his pants pulled down vrs the very best in the league, he had more than held his own and proved himself to be more than good enough for us in the PL.

for people to simply disregard him like they have been shows us how much our a vast majority of our fans have forgotten what this clubs ethos is built on. granted he isnt a world beater but hes more than good enough for us in our current situation as a lower half PL club.

I see Joel Ward as a bit of a modern day Owen Garvan or Wilbra-donkey. Totally ordinary player, you need a few of these but in the brave new world you cant really be a bit of a cr@p wingback, as its going to be an absolutely key position with FDB pulling the strings. I hope he does move on.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

also i expect the WBA interested bit is lazy journalism using the ex manager pulis card.

also if i was joel ward i wouldnt accept a new contract if i was offered less than what PVA & schlupp are being paid...market value.

Hard worker but technically not good enough for the PL. Good servant for us but that's what he has been paid to do. Doesn't surprise me that he could be off and he has my genuine best wishes.
And Braunstone why do you assume that we will be a bottom half PL team??

That value is in the eyes of FdB and he may have a different opinion to you on that!
