I've not suggested anything other than, based on your stats, the 2 strikers at the same point in their career have very little to chose form apart from one scoring in the top 2 divisions and one scoring in the bottom 2. Murray was great for us in our promotion season, a very good poacher who got us important goals but he was in his prime and you are trying to compare 2 players at very different stages of their careers and TBH I don't think the stats lie. Wickham has played 29 games for us in the Prem and scored 7 goals, Murray played the same and scored 8. Again very close. Wickham has all the assets and potential to be a very good Premiership striker, whether he does or not depends on him and his desire. You may not agree but please try to come at me with something other than 'you're clueless' as my 7 year old debates stronger. Edited by Icepick Tony (07 Aug 2017 1.50pm)

Murray's record as a Palace player is obviously superb, but I'd say he's never had a game at this level like Wickham did when we put five past Newcastle, or when he bullied Watford in the semi final, and gave Chris Smalling nightmares in the final. Murray has a bit more subtlety about him, and is/was a quality striker but then he's also ten years older. Wickham will continue to get better from this point.

Wickham has had a very serious almost career ending injury. There is no way to know how it will effect him.

Wickham's career to date far exceeds what Murray had achieved by the same age. Could end up being on a completely different stratosphere by the time he has reached Murray's age. Ridiculous to say that Murray is the better of the two or even compare them at this stage.

TMJ has really just made himself look a bit silly. Both strikers are decent prem strikers. Personally think Connor has the potential to be even better than GM...but as you say, only time will tell. Certainly got all the goods in his locker.

Anyone got any idea exactly when Wickham is likely to be fully fit? It makes a huge difference on how urgent it is to buy a new striker. Between 2pm and 4pm, Monday to Friday.

The best centre-forward performance at Selhurst Park by a home player since the days of Brighty. Plus, there has not been a better one since.
