Pazza always leaves the signings until the end of August so nothing new except waiting so late to name a manager has put his drawn out negotiations on a shorter deadline. I must admit only having a full squad for 36/35 fixtures every season is to me wasting points.

The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years

As Willo would say complete Hogwash.
Just not true.
Steve has now recruited his Manager.
Last summer Tomkins,Mandela,Townsend were all signed early.
Christian arrived late.

The club have learned there lessons and do not want to sign players for the sake of it, Holloway first window,Chungy,Mutch with Pardew.

Patience as we await our fifth season in the top Flight.

History for our little old club.

The thing to remember here is the wages, the offset that against the blending together of players during a pre-season and whether a desirable player is going somewhere else. If you consider that we want to recruit say 5 players who get on average £60K a week, the difference between 1st June and the 10th August is £3m.
There were a few teams in for Loftus-Cheek and so we've done that deal. I would also expect a few Dutch deals to be done soon (keeper and right back). No one is touching Sakho at £30m with his "trouble" tag (which is BS, but there are a lot of stupid people about) at the moment, but come the end of August Liverpool will get a bit desperate and the price will come down and then I think we will get him. Back up striker will also be late in August as they always are. Last year Benteke was end of August when the deal had been mooted from the end of May. Have faith in Parrish - he's our biggest asset IMO

Tete signed with Lyon and Veltman has signed a contract extension with Ajax and has become there Captain. So NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Ajax RBs are coming to us.

Would be nice for a change though to have the players here a few weeks before kickoff instead of a few days

Let's not let the manager evaluate the squad before deciding what he needs. Lets go balls deep scatter gunning like Holloway. Five years we've been up. Why do you think that is?

As a club we spend big money. We also negotiate as good value for money as we can. But let's buy sh*te so we can announce a signing.

Parchmore please take a reality check....
Would you have wanted a decision to have been taken on the new manager with speed taking priority over quality and importantly the right person for CPFC. The wrong choice would have been disastrous in terms of having to get a new man on board 'into the season'.

De Boer has been in the job for 2 weeks and has to take stock of what we have got then what we need. No doubt he started this exercise perhaps a little earlier but still it has been little time.

I would far prefer to have a cautious Chairman than one that makes decisions just for the headlines and to please fans. There are exciting times ahead but patience has to be respected

Can't you do both have speed and quality when dealing with Transfers?

The answer is YES.

There's NOOOOOOOOOOO sense of urgency from SP and I think that's what irritates me. Everything is just fine when we know it isn't. Barely escaped relegation last year to are 5th PL year. Oh how short our attention spans are could easily have been relegated last year. Because we DIDN'T do enough in the Summer Transfer Window. Fast forward to this Summer and we haven't learned a G*DD*MN thing.

I'm about to pop to the shop sweetheart. Do you need anything? Tampons? Chocolate?

Pathetic.

The most successful run in our history and it's not good enough for you. Spending lots of money on good quality players and it's not good enough for you. Owning our ground bought for peanuts rather than being stung for rent & it's not good enough for you.

Pathetic.

Your attention span.
The main reason we struggled last season was a poor Manager.
Alan Pardew.
Who was sacked.
If Sam had stayed we would be fine, unfortunately he left and we now support Frank.
