Excellent business, and learning from the Sakho experience maybe Parish will add on some kind of option to buy clause if he is a success? The problem with that, I'd presume, is that it makes no sense from Chelseas point of view. If he turns out to be pony they have to take him back. If he sets the league alight and plays like Dele Alli they then have to sell at potentially a cut down price from what he may then be worth. Agree it makes 100% sense to at least try and negotiate this clause in any loan deal will do though.

I trust the fans opinions on what kind of player he is. So with Milo as the CDM, cheek and Cabayer interchanging and Puncheon finding his shooting boots again or benched, this could work a treat. Edited by matthau (10 Jul 2017 4.23pm)

I could be wrong but isn't he an out and out CDM. Never seen him have much to his forward game. Also doesn't have a fantastic range of passing. I like him though, reminds me more of a Jedi than a Luka who is fast becoming One of my favourite Centre mids

Gets another body into a relatively thin squad without a big transfer fee. Although hopefully he has a storming season.

This [Link] shows fairly well how he's a box to box player and does get forward but can also run out of defence with the ball on the break. He's a monster! In that I mean he's a massive lad. No one can get near him as he's so big and yet controls the ball at his feet really well. I've never seen him play, and obviously the link is just a best of. But I'm pretty chuffed he'll be playing on our team. I think we're gonna love him!

Usually the 3 will include a holding midfielder (Luka), someone roaming in a more creative role (presumably Cabaye) and a box to box midfielder who does a bit of both which I think is exactly the type of player Loftus-Cheek is. Looked very good everytime I've seen him play for Chelsea. Shame we can't buy him permanantely or at least have a buying option but if he's a part of a Palace team that progresses and is still out of favour by the time his loan spells up, who knows what could happen. With the amount of cover we need, I think it's inevitable we'll be using our allocated loan spots and also signing some younger, perhaps less known players for cheap as well. Nice to broaden our horizons a bit. Think this post is spot on. Totally agree about him bein the box to box midfielder FdB needs.

Will he make an impact or get any playing time at all? from what ive seen from him at chelsea I dont rate him at all, albeit he's quite young....
