January was about £30 million plus add ons of £10 million. I think an average of £40 million per season is more likely. But then how much have we or can we save by shipping out the dross. Can't really judge that until the loan window closes I suppose and that's after the main sales transfer window closes.

Being happy we are taking youth on tour and hoping that some will make the final squad is not contridicating wanting to have a great first XI with new additions. What part of giving youth a chance means we stop signing other players. It's not one way or the other. Can be a mix. I doubt any are ready for 38 games. Loftus Cheek is the main point he's being signed on a years loan, we have a few midfielders who may or may not make it when given a chance. If they do make it their path hasn't been blocked. We have one striker, and one constantly injured reserve. So yes I think we can sign one more and still have a fourth slot available to test a kid... Goal keeper we need two top keepers and currently have one. The squad could easily take another if he's under the age limit. Not sure how this contradicts my other post, my other post in Asia squad thread lauds us looking at the younger players but makes very clear I doubt that's our Prem squad but that it would be great if players could break through. However nothing in it remotely suggests I don't think we should sign other players, that would be a bit silly. Edited by Goldfiinger (14 Jul 2017 8.43am)

So where we at now then..? Possible new recruits: GK - Cillessen (loan - option to buy?) Sell: Mutch - £1m Net spend: £40m Well I've no idea if all those are under consideration let alone serious consideration. But Jesus that would be some transfer window and to think it's still possible on £40m to bring in potentially 8 seemingly quality signings. I'm slightly gobsmacked! Have I missed any?
