You must be immune to pain then.

The difference is that you don't have to subscribe to Sky, but for all practical purposes you are forced to subscribe to the BBC.

I think it is correct that the BBC reflect the political landscape as Stirling says as it seems to offend the sensitive Right that they may be a tad left of centre.

As long as The Sun, The Express, The Mail, Sky, The Spectator, The Telegraph and the rest do the same.

You have the choice of whether you pay for the Sun, Mail, Sky, Telegraph or the excellent Spectator, or the not so excellent Guardian, but for all practical purposes like having a TV in your house, you have to subscribe to the BBC - no choice.

Not true. There are legal ways and means to watch BBC without having a licence. You do have a choice. Get rid of the TV or do it the loophole way. But then you would miss whingeing about having to pay for it.

The BBC is one bill I would not avoid it is amazing value for money.

I try all the others but somehow inevitably end up with BBC on any device.

It is simply better.

B*ll**ks and you know it. I said for all practical purposes. The vast majority or people want to watch TV on a TV and you need a BBC licence for that as you now do to watch it on catchup or Iplayer. Why don't you address the fact that people who do not share the BBC's left-liberal bias have to fund it, whereas those who also have the narrow, intolerant views of the liberal-left do not have to fund services such as Sky that they see as right wing.

That's how I feel about the Spectator, but you are not forced to buy that are you.

Seconded....but you see it's reality and Kermy only has a misty vague awareness of that.

The BBC is right wing / centralist.

How about the Morning Star, what do you consider that to be.

Similar to the Spectator in terms of bias, though in a different direction.

Slippery slope to subscription pay.....

I haven't watched the BBC in years although they show repeats of Eastenders, Keeping up with appearances etc all garbage although the odd David Attenborough programme is always worth watching
