Too right The way almost everyone on here spells Fraizer Campbell drives me to distraction. The guy has been a loyal servant, tries his hardest and joined the club in July 2014. Over the past three years people have given him so little respect that they haven't even learnt his name. But I also suffer regularly from the wilful attempts made by spell checkers to derail all of my thoughts before they get to other people. Calvin Andrews anyone?

Only in a modern world could literate people be known as 'grammar Nazi's'. I imagine that schools are now full of whiney kids sitting in English Language classes who, when asked to spell something correctly, lead with the retort 'but you're such a grammar Nazi sir'. I don't think they bother with "Sir" these days.

It's also an issue of respect, especially with names. Haha. This happens a lot. Again 90% of the time it's down to Auto Correct the other 10% is a combination of laziness and pig ignorance
When I was a young girl my Mother said to me.. You listen here kid you're CPFC |

Doubt they've paid enough attention in History to know what a Nazi is. And as for Sir, forget it

Understand your sentiments but I have met a number of highly intelligent people in the past whose grammar can be called into question on occasion and even their spelling - I recall one chap who spelt "Yacht" as "Yatch" and genuinely felt he was right. Yacht is one of the best words you can use if your playing hangman.

There's a reason spelling is important... I think there should be a little button at the bottom right of each post. It should be something like [g] which would denote a 'grammalert'

Just don't accuse a German of being a grammar Nazi. I have a German daughter in law who was in a bit of an argument with my son. That is until he told her that she was a 'little Hitler'. She went Krakatoa. So be careful about using 20th century history to illustrate a point.
