Totally agree There clearly is a problem with SP and Managers, he is well known for being too controlling and whilst as Chairman he has to look after the overall business he is involved much to much in the day to day activity of the club, All good Managers like to have a budget, so they can build a team that they want and believe in if JS has been given a new contract by SP behind SA back then that is bad management and foolish. Whilst accepting that SP has done a great job in the past recently he is proving to be a bit of an obstacle to team development. If SA leaves and that now seems likely then we are back in the brown stuff just when we should be building a stronger and more robust team for next season.

You started the rumour, so it isn't true, Hennessey hasn't got a new contract Speroni has. Hennessy was given a new contract, as was Kelly, not reported.

About time SP resigns and hand over to the Americans now let the Americans buyout parish I'm sick to death of this keep happening it not the first time it happened either but parish is never to blame he must be doing something wrong since parish has taken over the club we've had 8 managers in eight years since 2010 how can the club move forward when we have no stability at all its about time a change was made and that is to get rid of PARISH I bet its over his 2million pound bonus I can see another court case coming up I will be butting a grand on it at the bookies Seriously, how can the club move forward, 7 years ago we just played Wednesday to stay in the championship and were within minutes of being wound up. Now the 5th season in the PL beckons, Sam wants to head back north, he's done his job rescued his reputation and is after Parish backed him with Jan signings, do you seriously think 2010 need this grief again. Sams the one walking. Edited by kev64 (23 May 2017 7.16pm)

This post has been merged from a topic called 'I will not hear a bad word said about Steve Parish' by Guntrisoft I've met Steve on a couple of occasions, the first when he came to my restaurant and I shouted the meal, the second was when he invited me to the quarter final of facup and let me sit in the directors box with him. That is a guideline on how decent this chap is. He is 100% palace, how rare is it to have a chairman like that. Everything he does he puts palace first. He saved Palace and taken them so very far under his ownership. He's transforming our club and it's seems every decision he has made (choice of manager included) has been the right one (Neil warnock exception!!!) This wasn't his fault and is unfortunately a piece of bad luck that big Sam is at that time of his life that he wants to retire. Please remember what Steve has done and trust him to make the right decision on what happens next. Very rare I post here but t really felt like I needed to voice my thought on this God forbid a rational post

Just so everyone knows I introduced Steve to Ron Noades when he was looking for partners to join the consortium to buy Palace.Ron wanted in but only if we sacked all the players, sold Wilf, and disenfranchised the long term season tickets (the fans who had bought season tickets on 3 year deals under Jordan).Parish wouldn't have it,He is Palace through and through, he won't jeopardise our future !!!!

I don't think that anyone disputes that but there is obviously a problem somewhere and it seems to be with him. Whether it's an inability to stay out of player matters or whether he can't see any other way apart from his own I don't know but at this rate we will run out of managers pretty soon as they will all have fallen out with him

If Sam doesn't want to be here let him f*** off.. he's quick enough to say no player is bigger than the club. That goes for him too let's have Silva or Ranieri
