If I had a choice I'd sell Benteke for ridiculous money to China and go with 2 strikers Sam has his eye on. One of them hopefully being a number 10 and a bit of a striker. But what do we know? Sam might know who's going in the case of Cabaye and already have players being watched/contacted via agents. Can simply relax having a meticulous professional as manager who's been doing this sh1t successfully at this level for nearly 20 years is it now? Sam is the biggest signing we need to extend this season. We wait for years for a top striker and you would sell him that would be suicide. No amount of money can buy us a proven 15/20 goal premier league player getting CB has kept us up keeping him will do the same ask Villa.

Yep - Benteke hasn't been the player he was with Villa for us but has still bagged 15 goals. Imagine next season he is and we have three or four signings in the first XI to complete the jigsaw. Then we can dream. But he still must never be allowed to go near a penalty ever. Never ever. Once he's kicked it the goalie could go off and make himself a cuppa and have a biscuit and still get back in time to save it.

I'm quietly confident about who we'll buy over the summer. Look at the four Big Sam got in January! Sam is a man with contacts, he's respected and many would like to play for him. Hopefully he'll have the means to go and get some more great players and hopefully we'll stop sniffing around the bins of the relegated.
Cynic or realist? It's a fine line! |

I said ridiculous money. £50 million. If someone offered £50 million and Sam could get someone for £25 or £30 mil with proven ability and we could get Sakho, others and keep all of Cabaye, Zaha etc etc, you'd keep Benteke until his contract runs out? At some point it might happen. Edited by Rudi Hedman (16 May 2017 12.38pm)

Milivojevic has taken two and in neither case did the goalie have a chance.

It's all about actual prices in the end. Would I take 100m for Wilf? Sadly, yeah. Would I take 20m? Nah. Same goes for who we want. We can all dream of this and that but the money's got to work. We ain't gonna be splashing 100m net on new players. I might take 50m for Benteke but, mad as it is, you do still need to see the market given the Chinese money in the game. If a total gimp from the Championship costs 25m, for e.g., then 50m for big Ben needs a careful second look.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

You can't just throw them in because their young, they have to be good enough. As far as I am aware, KaiKai was recalled back to Palace in Jan 2017 so alas he has not been able to start too many games for Brentford this year (not too easy to dislodge Zaha/Townsend). Prior to this I think he played in every league game (18 games)for them and scored 3 goals. I think from the U23s worth a punt and hopefully we'll see him start on sunday. Happy to stand corrected. Maybe Boateng and Ladapo on the bench perhaps?

Does anyone know if we have a decent RB in the acedemy. I'd love Sam to bring through a RB or any defender for that matter to play understudy. Think Sam would relish bringing some players through whilst spending money on the core of the team. Feel true blessed that we have big sam at the helm. Let's strengthen the really weak areas. CB, Keeper, DM cover, RB cover, playmaker cover, additional striker. Can't for the life of me imagine we can afford 7 top quality players even if Sam can find some steels. So that being the case I hope some of the kids are good enough to start earning their keep. COYP
