We've complained at Hennesey's positioning at free kicks all season - well Hart doesn't exactly look like he solves that problem.

Fvcking useless tw&t. How can a keeper go from being so good to being dodgy? Oh I forgot. He's English. They all do.

What is it with this site and judging keepers game by game. All goalkeepers make mistakes. I personally would prefer heaton to hart. What sort of statement would it be to bring the England #1 to Palace. Let's write off his whole career.

I was talking about him as international class, which he is losing.

It's one thing getting your bearings wrong at a free kick and letting the player score. But today Hart didn't just show that he couldn't be relied on to stop a Leigh Griffiths free kick; he showed that he could be relied on not to stop one. And it was Leigh Griffiths. Not David Beckham. Not even Gylfi Sigurdhsson FFS. Edited by chateauferret (11 Jun 2017 12.28am)

Growing up with Clemence and Shilton I've always been pretty cynical about the Hart fanboys. We haven't had a good keeper for quite a while. Burridge was better than Hart, was 5'11, never got a cap and probably earned a tiny fraction of what he has.

Bad positioning on the first one regardless of how good the kick was.

I need to look at this again in some detail. But I am thinking of the lining up of the wall and it's positioning - some say the last man in the wall should line up with the near post, another "School of thought" says it should be the second last man.The keeper should then stand just outside the last player nearest the far post so that he can get a sight of the ball and not behind the wall.I don't think that the England wall jumped at all which might have been a contributing factor. Lots to consider regarding yesterday's incidents so I am not just going to apportion blame to Hart until I have an opportunity (If at all) to go into this further.Sometimes at the end of the day you just have to give credit to the person taking ther free kick. Both Griffiths and Mulgrew are excellent at free kicks.

Neither kick went right in the corner and Hart got nowhere near them. In fact he was so late on the first one, if you see his body angle, he has barely moved as it goes past him. Appalling goalkeeping and if you look where he stood it is exactly where Hennessey stands when he lets in free kicks. At least if you stand in the middle of the goal it would have to go right in the corner to beat you on either side.

Goalkeepers will tell you that they need to stand in a position where they can see the ball when it is kicked so if the wall is to one side they won't necessarily be standing in the middle of the goal.If the free kick is central then different factors come into play.At the end of the day it's all about sight lines for a keeper. You also have to rely on the wall as well to do their jobs ie jumping, not splitting etc and I accept it is the responsibility of the keeper not only to decide how many should be in the wall but the positioning of the wall as well.
