1. Who said anything about Blackburn, Wigan etc ?
2. I guarantee we're not a lower end payer in the Prem so it's not relative.
3. If you enjoy the prospect of going down and losing the likes of Wilf you're the one that needs to find another team to support

1. You obviously don't enjoy the Premier, those clubs were but vanished due to no investment.
2. Does it matter, if we are not the lowest payer, so what our wage bill isn't of any consequence to fans.
3. Were not going down, I have seen many of our best players going, from Don Rodgers, Kenny Samson, Ian Wright etc. Each time we weren't relegated, but they went to a bigger club for money. Wilf will go regardless, its all part of football.

thank christ Pardew is gone. now lets get rid of his hangover effects in the squad over the summer. The useless players, the bad attitude, the fatalism, the tactics, the pardew smell.

in Sam we trust.

Not a great season we've obviously had worse what makes it worse is we are always with in sight of success like. Last season was hard getting to Wembley and not winning the cup. Pardew should have gone earlier. Mistakes have been made but now we have Sam I think we will buy better. If we stay up next season could be the one that changes everything. Bring on Hull.

It's in our control, what are you talking about??

That seems to be a fairly common HOL mantra and I seem to recall that it wasn't that long ago that the forum was full of "In Super Al we trust"

If we stay up this will be he most successful period in the clubs 100 year plus history. An "awful season"....is that because we missed out on the champions league again ?

If we stay up which is by no means certain then that could be classed as success.
However - we have regressed since we were promoted and should really be more consistent and not be deep in releagtion trouble.
Many mistakes have been made recently and by a lot of different people - one can only hope that we learn from them and start to move forward bit by bit over the coming seasons.
Relegation - which is a real threat right now - would see us have to start again to an extent.
If it happens it happens - I would just prefer that it didn't!
We have some terrible injury issues - 3 centre halves for example and all at the wrong time - but our strength in depth needs to be addressed over the Summer.
I hope we stay up and have a Summer and full season of Sam and there we will see progress.
I see this season as very disappointing to be honest although boring it is not!

I think there is no denying that this season has been a disappointment.

But not exactly unexpected.

The writing was on the wall a year ago in terms of results and performances.

Whatever League we are in next season, I will at least go into that season with faith in the manager. Sam isn't everybody's cup of tea, but he tells it like it is and has far greater footballing knowledge than his predecessor .

For what it's worth, I think we will stay up.

And then we need a significant re-structuring on the squad front in the summer.

To me it will indeed be an "Awful season" if (God forbid) we are relegated.I can think of other negative words as well !

If we manage to stay up, which some will say is either a possibility or probability, then there will be such relief that there might be a tendency to be a bit more positive about the season than it perhaps warrants.Disappointing - but my goodness we are in the PL next season !

We have not been good enough over the course of a whole season and dare I say it will be playing Championship football next season. Today showed that. No amount of injuries can excuse that performance today. I for one just hope that this will be a wake up call for Parish and realization that he should have sacked Pardew after the cup final! Also it will hopefully stop him hanging around with his so called mate Brighty and that fake, Judas,so called legend Ian Wright and he will start to see what it really takes to make this club successful! Cannot wait for this season to end!

Really, because having one central defender, who probably doesn't have 90 minutes in him, and we were playing one of the best teams in the league. Sure their form was intermittent, but on the day they were fantastic.

I think we all are aware that with hindsight Pardew should have gone earlier, but that's where we are.

As for calling Wright a fake and judas, you should be ashamed of yourself.

This has been an exceptionally difficult season to support Palace. After every win my heart says we';ll finish top 10 and all season I have felt we will 'certainly' get relegated after every loss. I cannot remember another season like it. Very low lows (Sunderland 0-4, Swansea 4-5...) and very high highs (Arsenal , Chelsea...).
Supporter since '68 and I thought I had seen it all until this season.
P.S. when everyone was over confident after Liverpool, I advised caution and now we are deep in the cack.
