Spot on , unless we spend megabucks on a keeper we won't get any better than Hennessey on current form.
If the new coach keeps improving him even better.
Put buying Mamadou as top priority.

Nothing wrong with Hennessey IMO, has definitely grown into the role this year and is an experienced international.
Gets stick from some fans, but the same fans want Fabianski who is no better than Hennessey.
GK isn't a priority, all those keepers will realistically want to be No.1 wherever they go.

A decent No.2 is needed to give WH competition but that is it as far as Im concerned. Apart from De Gea, Lloris, Courtouis and Cech all the keepers in the Prem are level par currently.

Maybe somebody like David Marshall from Hull, Martinez from Arsenal, or Boaz Myhill at WBA- all of these may be more inclined to accept a role as No.2 and could still do a job if needed/ if WH shows bad form.

I think Mandanda is not under consideration for the first team squad as it has already been decided to move him on at the of the season. His physical injuries have cleared up however his psychological ones clearly haven't!
The club was visited by his agent 2-3 months ago as SM was apparently looking for a move back to France as he was homesick and has not settled in London.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Begovic nearly go to Bournemouth in January for 10m only to be stopped when Chelsea couldn't find a replacement?

10m for Begovic is an must buy!

Would go for our French goalkeeper over Hennessy any time. He looked a great stopper and would have stopped the 30 yarder last night.
If we are to find another goalkeeper, it's got to be a safe pair of hands and I would go for Pickford for the the long term and would already have a deposit on the table for Sako. Also a CF is an absolute must, we can't rely on Chrisian every week and Campbell .............!Quick fix: Defoe for a season.
The team have done a great job over the past month and we mustn't be in this position again next season. Sunderland have been relegation candidates for the last few seasons and this has now caught up with them.
In summary, a new goalkeeper, CH, CF.

This. I remember when Nige came. We had no idea what good looked like until he got here and settled in. Took our game to a different level. Similar to the Sakho effect
