Ambassador and Eton-educated Sir Peregrine and Lady W'aferly-W'Atson kids' are Saudi Arabian then? Ok. My passport says British. That's about right. Edited by Kermit8 (24 Apr 2017 12.53pm)

Edited by Kermit8 (24 Apr 2017 12.53pm) I think people are what they commit to over years. Of course any of us can say we are this or that without any commitment. You have a Scottish father so I don't think anyone can smirk at you saying you're part Scottish if that's what you feel. Though without living there some might say that's more heritage. My father's Northern Irish but lived in England for most of his adult life. But I lived here all of mine and feel one hundred percent English while respecting my heritage. I think for someone to say they are purely this or that they have really have to have lived there during their formative years....Or have committed to it for at least several....with exceptions....some people need to live somewhere due to climate medical needs ete ete. People respect commitment. When Tyson Fury sometimes calls himself Irish I think some had a right to smirk and call him a plastic paddy. He's never lived there...Really he's talking about his heritage....But he is what he commits to.
