Wright easily

Forwards ( not wingers ) that have done a decent job for us ?

Kemp
Swindlehurst
Walsh
Morrison
Johnson
Benteke
and
Wickham
I actually think when fit Wickham is as good or better than Benteke

The trouble with Gerry is he didn't score much, but not bad for a man in a moderate team. But see what Defoe does in similar circumstances. By scored Palace's second goal,in the the big league v Manure. A quickly taken free-kick.
Best goal was, I think, a very long clearance by Jacko that bounced in front of the Stoke 'keeper (Banks?), and Gerry pounced. The big truth though, surely, is Wrighty. And man I met at the Shrewsbury v Walsall game recently said he had sat next to Brighty in the previous game up there, checking out Lapado, and he asked who was the best he'd played with.....no question, Wrighty.

Although big Ben has scored a few recentl6 a few it is, gleaned from numerous chances where he has lacked the control of a big signing. He's even missed pretty straight forward headed chances. But Palace have a way with recuperating players. Like Wilf and Townsend, the Palace system will iron Benteke out. I'm not sure we'll ever find out about Wickam. Such a good, young talent, but unloaded cheaply, why? Injury prone maybe.
