Surely we can match what we paid for Benteke to get him? He's proving, if anything, even more important.

Obviously I want us to sign him - he has been phenomenal for us. BUT, we've seen this before from loan signings - they work their socks off and seemingly have a great attitude, but then they get offered a 3 year contract and the bad attitude returns. That's my only fear with Sakho - how will he be when the going gets tough.

lmao - so signing for a team in the relegation zone, cant win at home, cant win away and shipping goals like a school team isn't the 'going getting tough'?

wow

Clinton is Clinton. I have known him for a long time, I know his mother... Simon Jordan

Of course we should, but keep in mind two things. Firstly he will have better, possibly much better offers coming in, and as much as he probably loves Palace he won't have been around long enough to truly have a big affinity for the club. The second thing to consider is with good scouting and the right gonad strength from the chairman we could go out there and unearth a player with similar attributes. He is not Paolo Maldini - don't get me wrong, he is the tonic that we needed as has been nothing short of immense but we could lose him and still get someone in who could perform to the same level.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

Please come back next year

Oh Mamadou Sakho
Please come back next year

It's a yes from me, unless it's crazy "breaking transfer record for a defender" money.

Its a yes from me. We should have 3 transfer targets for next season:

1. Sign Mamadou Sakho
2. Keep our star tplayers
3. A CM

If we can clear up our injuries we should have a good strong squad for next season.

Sakho: Organised, gutsy, good communicator, excellent leader.
Brings out the best in average players like Tomkins, throws himself into the mix, not afraid to tackle, has awareness and intelligence and is a very good all round defender. He may stay. His agent will want him to leave. But I sense he loves it here. Fingers crossed.

Sakho and Luka are the foundations of this positive run we are on. If at all possible we should do what ever to secure Sakho for next season although I do fear bigger clubs will have taken notice of his current form. Saying that I have a good feeling that he genuinely loves our club and us fans.

Whatever the outcome have loved watching him in the famous red and blue of Palace

The last 2 signings that were initially loans were Punch and Wilf.. 2 player that will probably go down in Palace history so I'd say based on history this is written in the stars

I read that he's happy to go back to Liverpool if they'll have him, so don't think we should get our hopes up.

I'd love him to be at palace next season but think we'll all be disappointed.

The consensus is clearly to sign Sakho but what if we had to sell Zaha to achieve that? Sakho or Zaha? Tough one!

We wouldn't have to sell anyone. Sakho around 20 mil - not even massively expensive for a player these days. in fact, I believe if we had offered 20 mil we could have bought him in January. There were probably doubts about his attitude then, which have most likely been dispelled by now.
