Willo, I think he's saying shut up, or you can go and worry on your own or sit fretting in usual silence in the main stand. My worries are shared by many of our supporters so I am hardly alone. There are a lot of fretters in our midst. We have had our good run and with the games to come against the top teams we can hardly be expected to pick up too many points.

My view was clearly shared by many of our supporters. It was a huge upset, many perhaps concluding it was a 'freak' result and as such it was hardly predictable. So let's whine about how s***e we are and assume we've lost before a ball is kicked, will we?

If only we could grab wins against Burnley and Hull and 'park the bus' at other matches then that should keep us safe. The disappointing feature to last night's game at Southampton was having taken the lead and then conceding and at least not managing a draw and a valuable away point.

Call me old fashioned, but i always thought that as a 'supporter' or 'follower' of ateam, that no matter the opposition, you always held out the expectation that palace would heroically gain a 1-0 victory no matter how 'unrealistic' or 'illogical' it may have seemed. No it seems you expect to get mullered by any team above you in the table. How sad........

Those were two very poor goals at the end which arose from absences (Tomkins/Dann and Cabaye) and fatigue, but might not have happened if we had replaced Cabaye with Flamini instead of Bakary Sako. We were too much on the back foot for him to be effective.

4 wins in a row, which is very difficult in this league, and we are still only just clear. Our run-in is horrible and the teams around us are winning. I don't believe Hull will go down now, fair play to Marco Silva he has got them sorted and a good machine. Interestingly he has not had a home defeat in over 3 years as a manager. West Ham will be fine, the table will kick them up the arse and get them playing. It's between us and Swansea...I fear for us.
The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years |

I'm old enough to know that there's more twists and turns to go before it's all over. Hull have had a good run, but it could easily run out of steam. This applies to Leicester (and us) too. Sunderland could win a few as the pressure comes off because everyone thinks they're down. Any of us can take points off top six teams, we've proved that. The only thing that's predictable is that a few things happening between now and the end of the season will have been unpredictable. I think Sunderland and Boro are gone, it's now all about that 18th place. I'm less pessimistic than Willo.

That's hard to ignore isn't it? 12 points on the spin still didn't result in the traction required to pull away. All the time the mathematics make survival possible there's hope, but our ever increasing injury list, especially to significant players, isn't helping.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |
