Going off piste a little, I think that some people should be banned from certain properties. For example, the stupid should not be allowed to go to airports. Obese couples (of all sexual persuasions) should only be allowed to stay in hotels that are of a less salubrious standard than the average Travelodge and not be given access to buffet breakfasts. The concept that citizenship is earned, rather than a right, should be the core of Brexit Britain.

Really, I don't think it matters who is irrationally prejudiced against who based on issues as absurd as ethnicity and skin colour. Being a f**ktard isn't limited along race or gender lines. Or any lines. There always seems to be among any society, any number of stupid people who have prejudices based on irrational grounds, that they hold as valid. I think most people aren't prejudiced based on ethnicity and skin colour, they are more often prejudiced on behaviour. I find most people are positive about the Indian community but are not so positive about others from the same sub-continent. Many white people are also less positive about their fellow white people in the Travelling community.
We have now sunk to a depth at which the restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men. [Orwell] |

Commercial trading law is pretty much the reality of business. Now obviously you can get away with it, by hiding your real motives. But then if you're lying aren't 'you' then the one not living in reality.

But then if you're lying aren't 'you' then the one not living in reality. That is one way to see it but you might also be living in a bigger house. The key thing here is motivation. If the chap genuinely believes that the nature of his tenants affects him financially then it isn't really racism in reality, despite what the law might say. The guy is a business man and I'm sure he would rent to Martians if he could squeeze more money out of them.

I think humans are basically a semi-sentient means of transit and sustenance for micro organisms. Effectively, we're the buffet car for viruses and bacteria. Makes it pointless to worry about which buffet car is superior or preferable. Edited by jamiemartin721 (29 Mar 2017 4.40pm)
