Right now, the absolute safety MN is 11. Monday will tell if it will be reduced to single digits. A Boro loss or draw (possible given Arsenic's away form) will reduce it to 9. In reality, they have no games at hand on us as the Monday match is this week's round. It's not quite that simple. If we earn 11 points, we guarantee finishing above the bottom three. But, because there's multiple teams in the mix, it's possible to achieve the MN against, say, Boro, but still fall behind anyone else below us currently. Would obviously love to achieve safety with a continued run of positive results but, more likey, we will get there by combination of points won by us and points dropped by others. We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

Probably see you next season guys... On today's form Swansea looked like they won't score many. We weren't that great and basically played out a comfortable 1-0 win. Also Hull will beat us next week... (And I suspect you will finish above us)

The bottom four will probably provide at least five dropped points each, exceeding the eleven we need. Hull are a far different proposition away so I'm looking at a six point swing right there. Of course, the best laid plans of mice and men .... If 17th is where we finish, given the horrible first half plus, I'll take it.

Here's the update following Boro's loss on Monday: 11 Stoke 20 (points available 15 ) So, if each of the bottom three lose three of their remaining games, we're safe without earning another point.

I do not see any of the bottom 3 get more than 34 points, with our goal difference, we were already safe on 34 after the Arsenal result.

We ain't safe yet when we beat Liverpool we will be through we need to get to at least 38 points to be safe I reckon Swansea will draw with stoke and hull to beat watford so we have to win at least playing on Sunday we will know what we have to do against liverpool and that should be enough incentive to go out and get the result we need points wise

Edited by Ray in Houston (20 Apr 2017 7.28pm) After Stoke we had 5 wins from 25 games (1 in 5) yet then managed(thankfully) to get 5 wins from 7 so you just never know when a team can get a streak going.
