Yeah, lets just replace our best player with someone from the academy.... Totally agree. Very big shoes to fill in. How about Palace NOT selling their star player? How about giving him a contract that truly befits his contributions?

I think it invetable that Wilf will leaves us at the end of the season. His assist have improved as his all round game. I would like us to explore the possibilities of bring in Nani (Valencia ) or Schurlle (dortmund) I don't think its a foregone conclusion he'll leave but if he did I would try to go for Demerai Gray. Plus 9albeit a different type of winger) I would look to bring Kai Kai into the fold

This. There is the value of the player, then there is the value to the club. Zaha is a £25-30 Million player but his value to us is nearer £50 Million. Same with Bolasie, I thought that £25 Mill was below his value to us, he was a bigger player to us then we could replace him with. Give me last seasons squad over our squad between Sep-Dec this season any day. Our team of the last 5 seasons was built around Zaha and Bolasie's talent, pace and strength. After a season like this one it would be catastrophic if we don't do everything we can to keep hold of Wilf this summer.
I'd take this new squad, Wilf, Townsend, Milo, Sakho, Benteke, and co over last seasons. Really hope we can keep the squad together together over the close season. Parish is will have his work cut out. But if anyone can... Parish can! COYP

Bore off and continue supporting a team that give you the medals and trophies you obviously deserve for endless optimism. Positivity has nothing to do with it. It's called realism. A contract is only worth something to the selling club to ensure we get what he is worth. Once the player is unhappy, it really is pointless keeping him. You really think I want Zaha to go? Of course not. We're very capable of offering him what he deserves, but we won't be able to back that up with trophies and medals. If you don't think Zaha deserves a chance of that, clearly you're unappreciative of anything thing he's done for us over the last 7 years.

Wilf's main attribute is doing things at pace against a team who have just lost the ball. He is improving against set defence and to be fair to him may be we aren't capitalising on that ability as much as we should. Think this perception has hampered his chances for England and Manchester united where he is/was seen as a player who can attack a full back with plenty of space behind them but couldn't attack against a team who have a 'set' defence. Again to be honest we have been rubbish at home against teams we should beat and who have defended deeply against us.
One supporter of hacking argued that without it "you will do away with the courage and pluck of the game, and I will be bound to bring over a lot of Frenchmen who would beat you with a week's practice -Blackheath secretary at first meeting of the F.A |

Realism is different to pointless negativity, which you seem to be repeating ad nauseam. Who, apart from you, says he's unhappy playing at Palace? (Agent talk about money doesn't count as every agent does this). If he wasn't happy here he'd be playing like he was at Cardiff or ManU, instead he's playing the best football of his life, his former coaches are being recognised for the work they've put into developing him, and he's beating his chest with pride and a smile when he scores. That doesn't add up to being unhappy. If by repeating yourself saying we can't give him trophies is showing appreciation, you should just stick to supporting Chelsea, and change up to ManU/City next year when they win trophies. If by wanting our best player to stay makes me "unappreciative", instead of being a negative loser resigned to selling him, I'll stick with the former.

Demaira Gray from Leicester. He does not get much playing time there but he is class. And of course WILF should stay but if the big guns (not sure Spuds is one) come calling we all know what could happen. Fingers crossed it is not. Originally posted by CPFC/SCCC

Zaha loves palace and he is proud when he scores. He is a hard working and passionate player who wants only the best for us. However he will want to have a career that his ability deserves, challenging for top competitions and mixing with the best players of the league. As much as he respects and cares for palace, we can't at present offer him what he will want for himself. He deserves to have a chance to win trophies and leagues, we just can't offer him that. I won't ever begrudge him if he wants to move on and anyone who does has no right to call themselves a palace fan. I hope he decides to stay but if he wants to move on I will support him in every match he plays bar 2 a season.
