In real time Willo, at the game, the referee got numerous decisions wrong: My opinion and that of so many others, even when removing our red n blue rimmed specs. Refs are indeed 'only human' but less so when performing with the sheer incompetence shown today! Sadly mate, your constant supercilous opinions are, far from creating the air of expert that you crave/demand, proving you to be an almighty laughing stock. Just once, leave others to post and debate with your need to denounce everyone else's opinion. Those who really know me would indeed "Laugh" if they read these comments. They would readily testify that they would NEVER associate the word "Supercilious" with me nor ever conclude that I would crave/demand an air of expertise. I have constantly stated I am self-deprecation rather than self-promotion and this is how they see me.

And what exactly will happen to him for being totally incompetent and maybe even biased?? Answer..nothing! Its almost a joke watching Wilf getting kicked from pillar to post week after week, with no referee seeming to give him any protection at all from thug defenders whose only way to stop him seems to be fouling him, which they do with impunity as there is never any punishment! Guarantee if Wilf does move to Tottenham he WILL get penalties awarded week in week out by the very same referees who deny him now.....bias?? Maybe, possibly! And I see that youve already done the "I dont want to turn this into a Willo thread" post....yeah after youve already done your utmost to do just that with your ridiculous defence of the indefensible referee yesterday...Well done Willo!!!! All I have stated is that we won a very important game and people are concentrating on the performance of the referee ! And his decisions never cost us the game !!!! I have no desire to stifle debate about referees and everyone can have their say but to have this in such focus after a much needed win is, in my humble estimation, somewhat incredulous.

Penalty for us at both ends. On MoTD, even Alan Shearer agreed on the McArthur incident ... Tony Gale on Sky said "for me, it's a penalty" about Wilf being shoved over the line. Poor and inconsistent refereeing AGAIN.
Denial is not just a river in Egypt |

Poor and inconsistent refereeing AGAIN. Pundits who have seen 'Slow-mo' replays probably loads of times.A referee only sees things once from his angle and often his view is obscured. Trust me, I know and have spoken to many referees about this. Do pundits in general heap praise on some brilliant decisions ? Do they focus on the referee when he makes terrific judgement calls ?

Oh, well, so that's OK then, right? If we win, it's OK for the ref to be as appallingly incompetent as he likes because his decisions "never cost us the game". What bizarre logic. Even if they didn't, they cost us a couple of goals which affects our goal difference and in this case affects the standings - win 3-0 and we go above Boro. And if McArthur is suspended because he has five yellow cards on the last day of the season then the completely bollocks decision to book him yesterday could be very significant. And then there is the small matter that winning by a single goal his decisions *might* very well have cost us the points and certainly when McArthur was fouled converting the penalty would have killed the game there and then. Finally there is the difference in squad confidence and morale between winning 1-0 and feeling that you were ganged up on, on the one hand, and winning 3-0 on a fair and level playing field on the other. You would need to be blind not to have seen the effect on Wilf of the refs failing to protect him in the Stoke and Sunderland matches. He dealt with it yesterday but the ref still allowed defenders to commit repeated assaults on him, inside and outside the box, without raising an eyebrow. You are talking out of your arse.

With respect not "Bizarre logic" at all in my book. Of course one can debate about the performance of the referees and everyone is entitled to their opinion. What I find "Bizarre" is that we have achieved a much needed win yet debate is firmly centred on the referee ! That's all I am saying.
