Very funny. Don't bother arguing the points though, none of that rubbish.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

1. Sticking with Pardew for way too long - should have gone last May.
2. Changing things too quickly - or trying to anyway - Pardew.
3. Getting rid of strong characters way too soon even if they were not going to play every week - Pardew.
4. A generally poor transer policy in as much as the players we bought - in many cases players purchased were hardly if at all better than those we had already - Pardew said in an interview that it was he who decided who he wanted even if someone else did the actual deal.
2-4 above have caused huge disruption and have surely led to our perilous position.
The transition between Team come up and team to move on is always difficult but I can't think of many who have handled it as badly as Alan Pardew.
BFS was not my choice to take over but I totally understand the logic in employing him and I will continue to support him and his decisions - within reason of course.
Whether it works or not remains to be seen but we are in a pickle and that is putting it mildly!

You may think Parish/the managers have been successful and used most of the Prem dosh wisely and with prudence and in-keeping with what was expected given the status but I politely strongly disagree.

Four managers thought Gayle wasn't the answer, and his performances when starting were very average.

It's basically impossible to compete in the Premier League on the cheap. Players simply aren't available to snap up for £800,000 anymore.

I'm not saying Parish and his merry men have been excellent in the transfer market. I don't think they've been disastrous either.

Parish Pardew love in. Stopped Parish thinking straight and realising that things had gone t1ts up way before December

Also the current players for being weak minded and gutless.

I've said it before. Football is about players. Managers are secondary. We didn't sign enough good players in the summer and we sold, arguably, our best one. Townsend was not good enough for Spurs and went down with Newcastle. He was never going to be good enough to play every week for Palace. We needed to sign a better winger to replace Bolasie.
The rest of the squad was flimsy and struggling half of last season and it needed bigger investment. Signing Remi as a cheap option was doomed to failure. We sold two strikers and need two better ones to replace them. What we got was a one dimensional header specialist and a Chelsea failure on loan who had hardly played for two seasons.
We sold Jedinak who was a midfield general and did not replace him with a similar player until January. Jedinak was not good enough but we were left with a weak midfield. Cabaye spends half the game on his arse and McArthur is always recovering from injury.
Parish is happy to take the blame he says. Well he's got that right at least.

With respect, Steve does the deals and the financials but he doesn't identify the players or influence the manager and tell him who to buy etc.He is not a scout !

At the end of the day, it is the manager who selects potential signings and then allows SP to do the rest.Of course money comes into it and SP won't put the club at risk.Perhaps one could go further and look at the scouting/recruitment who of course feed into the manager.

I am certainly not in "Ignore mode" in the manner you have suggested and having read the post above I understand where you are coming from in terms of "Balance".

I fully appreciate the part CPFC2010 played in saving our club from extinction and appreciate the "Launch pad" effect which you stated.

All I was saying is that through all our trials and tribulations now and possibly in future years we simply cannot keep up the mantra of "Oh well, we nearly went bust blah, blah ,blah etc etc". I am eternally grateful for CPFC2010 but sometimes in life one has to move on and face the 'Music' in the current without making comparisons with the past.

Last paragraph accepted Willo but also be careful what you wish for as the supporters of Coventry, Leyton Orient and Charlton will testify to. I would much prefer to have at the helm someone who does genuinely care about the club and with us through good and bad times. Even if the worst happens and we go down this year I would want SP in charge with sleeves rolled up ready to come back. He has made mistakes like all of us and being the chairman of a PL club cannot be easy.

As you say let's look forward and hope that we can escape the dreaded drop.

With respect your comments infer that I am Anti-Parish and CPFC2010 when nothing could be further from the truth.

Football is a funny old game, as JG famously said. If you look at Leicester's situation its similar to ours, they have good players, but they are just not performing this year, anywhere near what they did last year.
Our players have been under performing for 18 months, what the reason is has been the subject of much debate, but nobody has come up with the answer.
Blaming Pardew, Parish, Hennessy or anybody they can think of at any moment in time. We have good players, but they just don't seem to bond as a team, with team spirit and a will to win. How you put that back into a team is the question, until we do, its a downward spiral.
