Just to introduce more positivity, our dynamic duo,the two Sams, would have had 2 weeks to prepare the team and properly integrate new players. Certain we will win but it will be close.

More like the players get two weeks sat on their arse's cos it's seen as some sort of holiday and they are exhausted from playing one game a week for a few months now. Provided we don't play any sort of three-at-the-back formation, a Palace win and a decent display. But any further attempt at using wing-backs and we'll be trashed Sunderland-style.

Their 'Away' record indicates that they don't give much away in terms of goals conceded so this could be a close encounter. Edited by Willo (17 Feb 2017 9.02am)

I think it all depends on 'brough. If they see this as winnable - and lets face it why wouldn't they - they may take a few chances which we might be able to exploit and nick a goal or two and possibly edge a win. If they come for a draw, they'll get it.

Have a go mate, call the result, you won't be heckled is you predict us to win and if you predict a defeat you will be able to be one of the smug 'I told you so crowd ' if we lose. so you back him up if he predicts a win yet slate him if he doesnt? Are you Donald Trump perchance??

What we have to be careful about is not conceding free kicks in areas where it is possible for Middlesbrough to score, especially as Hennessey has been found wanting on occasions in this area.I have noted that Gibson, Clayton Forshaw, Friend and Downing can all score when a 'Wall' is formed. Sunderlands away record indicated that they don't score many away and look how that ended up! Still stick to my 1-0 win for us though. Up the Palace!

At the back, in recent games Middlesbrough have been playing a centre-back partnership of Gibson and Chambers.Wouldn't say Gibson is the quickest and Chambers can be a bit 'Hit and miss'.But I can only re-iterate that Middlesbrough haven't conceded many 'Away' from home in recent games. Think it will be tight. Think they'd be very happy with a 0-0. We on the other hand need more than that.
