i think you need to read that back to yourself, you sound like Our chairman at his deluded best, we're 19th and got stuffed 4-0 at home to the only team below us, these players need to seriously shape up otherwise we're heading for the trap door, will you still be saying we've got a better squad when/if we get relegated?

I think you are both agreeing with each other but coming from a different angle.

This team should not be where it is, because of the potential quality in it, the fact that we are 19th is why we are all so pissed off. They team has more talent then many of the teams around them - but lack a team ethos and determination/fitness will ultimately be why we get relegated - if we do.

And that is why it is worse than the previous 4 times I've seen us go down.

That and the fact that Brighton might leap-frog us (not that i'll be bending over to let them
)

... what

we’re not down yet but if we do go down!
We can always reflect on this
What does relegation mean?
1. This is the worst thing ever. (FFS we are a better club than this.)
2. The relief that it is nearly over. (looking up the away fixtures of some team you don’t even care about just because they are four points above you in the table).
3. Realizing it is a chance to put the rubbish out (players who are not fit to wear our shirt).
4. Next year’s season ticket prices will be OK though.
5. New clubs, new grounds.
6. Rekindle that long-lost derby passion. (well probably not the seaweed, scumwall, and that other team carlton pathetic or something).
7. A promotion season surely beckons
Next season is going to be great.
Bring it on!!!!

Really? I wouldn't bet the farm on it

It can't be that bad as I don't remember many of the 5 I've gone through. Being relegated in '95 4th from bottom and Charlton away 10 years later felt pretty bad*.

If we aren't relegated this season, we will almost certainly be at some point. There is nothing I can do about it so I'm not going to worry about it.

*However bad Charlton away was, without it we wouldn't have enjoyed Charlton's rapid demise in the seasons after quite as much. Every cloud eh.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

OK, on what basis does a "promotion season surely beckon"? Facts, not hopes and dreams.

It was just a tounge and cheek post mate. Not an in depth look at our promotional chances on if we go down.
If you want a fact we're not down yet.

Ah, I see. If you're going to appear to big up the benefits of relegation or minimise its impact, it's probably best to know why you're doing so as it's rarely, if ever, a joking matter. Oh, and when did you become my "mate"?

OK I get you. Mate is just a friendly way of conversing. Do you normally talk like that face to face or is s keyboard your big up way of communicating?
If you've taken a disliking to me then don't bother me and my posts and go do one. OK mate

What does it feel like? F****** s****.

What does it mean? No more watching football next season because no sod broadcasts Championship matches. Lots of inbound banter and pi$$ taking. A good view of Seaweed's arse, by the looks of things. And lots of porcine aviation gags when we talk about trying to get back up.

It doesn't have to be like that with the depth in this squad even after losing a few stars there should be a push for promotion straight away.

Newcastle have a winning team big crowds sensible finances but yes I am not looking at Villa.

The quality of football well to be frank I like the Championship and follow it on TV.

the feeling still pales in comparison to thinking your club is about to cease to exist...
