Was the grass greener for Newcastle, Charlton, Southampton and West Ham fans too?

Didn't he get sacked from all those jobs as well?

*edit

Not Newcastle but they didn't put up much of a fight to keep him did they?

Still can't believe I have to repeat this...6 league wins in 2016.

We only avoided relegation last season because we had a good first half of that season.

Pardew has left a mess that could f*** us up for quite a few seasons to come and I'm amazed that there are more than a few that still can't or won't see that.

well said!

6 league wins in the whole of 2016 and a club in turmoil.
Great legacy, that.

....and the worst points ratio of the 92 football league clubs, what a great manager!

Exactly!
He managed to turn us from a club punching above its weight into an embarrassment.
So glad he's gone.

And I agree with that for the most part.
However, there are more than a fair few Palace fans that need reminding that the recent past has left us in the position we find ourselves in today.

But it's also the case that the damage that has been done needs to be repaired. When Pardew left our fitness and mental strength were appalling, and fixing that is not instantaneous.

I agree but that's what I thought I'd been intimating.
Allardyce has got a lot bigger job on his hands than he thought he had in my opinion.

all im reading is pardew won 6 games in 2016...i get that, not good at all.

but pardews points per game over that 'awful period equals....0.4 points a game.

bfcs's points per game comes to 0.20. (its worse than that actually but im rounding it up)

so dont talk this bollocks about 6 wins on 2016, its the equivoelnt of lazy journalism and we all hate that

our fitness didnt seem as issue 2nd half against swansea when we were chasing around like a dog on heat...after a busy christmas period.

or will all the selective memories forget that?
