1st shot on target around the 78-80th minute. 2 shots on target the whole match. We need a better urgency at taking shots. We were very pedestrian too often.

Agreed, I noticed when watching highlights of our game compared to the other relegation candidates, they seemed to at least have the confidence to take shots from 20-30 yards, whereas we do not. We are not exactly Arsenal in walking the ball home Most certainly not European.

Agreed, I noticed when watching highlights of our game compared to the other relegation candidates, they seemed to at least have the confidence to take shots from 20-30 yards, whereas we do not. We are not exactly Arsenal in walking the ball home

Most certainly not European.

Both are games I feel more confident about after Saturday. We defended well all game and really lost because we were down to ten men and schlup was unfortunate to go down off the pitch. Everton exploit that, somewhat cynically. One statistic of note. BFS has been in charge of 5 league games and we have conceded 9 goals - the 3 at West Ham admittedly were worrying. Pardew's last 5 games we conceded 15 goals! The previous 5 before that it was 13! Our defensive record is improving!

One statistic of note.
BFS has been in charge of 5 league games and we have conceded 9 goals - the 3 at West Ham admittedly were worrying.
Pardew's last 5 games we conceded 15 goals!
The previous 5 before that it was 13!
Our defensive record is improving!

I honestly think that when we fix the defense the rest will follow - whether it is going to be too late or not I have no idea. Whilst we did not particularly deserve much from Saturday it was a better performance - in my opinion anyway - and Schlupp looked good as did Remy. We need more ideas and we need to mark tighter - that is one of our single biggest problems which I am sure they will sort out. We allowed Barclay to run the game and my criticism of BFS and his team is that they allowed this to continue for the whole 90 minutes which I found very worrying indeed. Spurs only had 2 shots on target against Citeh, the first around the hour mark. If they weren't against such a poor keeper they'd have lost.

My thoughts too. If the midfield/attack have to worry less about what's going on behind them then it should give them more confidence to get forward.
