Already forked out over £450 for a season ticket to watch the dross on offer at Selhurst. Cannot justify paying out any more.

I think there ought to be a league table of fans on here actually, so we all know where we rank in terms of how well we support Palace. I'm pretty sure I'd be in the bottom 5% but it's become clear that there is a real need for this kind of ranking system in order to know who we should look up to and look down on. Obviously it should come with a few "acceptable excuse" cards that could be played, such as death of a parent or getting married (1st time only). Edited by Part Time James (19 Jan 2017 2.17pm) Brilliant idea PTJ. Hopefully the holier than thou fans would then be happy to wallow in their smugness without having to post weekly how great they are

Theres no way in hell i was going to pay £20 to watch us play a league one side after travelling to bolton and spending nearly £50 that day - including ticket of course. By the time a bit of food and a drink is consumed, going to both ties would have cost me nearly £100 including petrol, tickets and food. Cant be justifying that at all, not when there has already been a busy period over Christmas and new years which has cost enough. Can totally understand fans simply not wanting to depress themselves too at the moment,as has been said in countless posts now, if it felt like ALL of the players really wanted and cared to play for the badge i would say differently.

I don't quite understand what him being near pensioner age has anything to do with the fact that he has outright just slammed fans for not turning up to a game. Everyone knows most of the reasons why people were not there on Saturday. It was £20 to see a League 1 team in a replay, where we were informed by our manager that the Cup is not a priority, and that he would field a reserve team. If he's not taking it seriously, then why should we? Originally posted by Kermit8
I think you meant to say 'pricing' in answer to his question rather than being explicitly rude to a near pensioner.

I can't believe people are actually justifying to the OP why they didn't go?? I wasn't there... but it's nobody's business but mine why I wasn't Does this make me a terrible fan now??!!
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

Well done to those fans that went but please, what is the point in questioning those that didn't/couldn't attend, including me? Ollie's Dad,Ash. I agree well done to the lads who went to the match on such a cold night to watch the boys play. I agree with Ash please do not have ago at us because we did not go as being in my mid 70's and disabled plus living in Plymouth I do not go to matches anymore due to not being able to travel that much. Maybe back fifty or so years I would turn out in sleet rain thunderstorms winter days in fact any sort of weather and travel miles and miles to watch my beloved team play. I have to now just get a link to watch our matches online or on when televised. Please do not keep questioning the fact some of us did not turn up to a match as there are many reasons why some of us just cannot attend so before you have ago at us, try and understand before you post having a go at us please think.
Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |
