I think he was saying good luck to Schlupp, not signing himself off as Jeff.

No it's not. The thread title gets changed with (signed) at the end so don't get involved with something that doesn't concern you 'sugar'

Afternoon Palace fans, Leicester fan In peace.

Just wanted to congratulate you on signing Jeff Schlupp. He has been a great servant to our club and will be really missed at Leicester.

He will likely become a fan favourite purely because he is so entertaining. He's a bit dense and does very funny things on a regular basis.

His actual footballing ability is generally very good but you should all know he is essentially a wildcard. I've seen him give performances befitting a Barca player at the top of their game and also performances befitting a sunday league player who's been allowed to play ten minutes at the end as a favour to his dad who helps around at the club.

He will have you on jumping up and singing his name on the terraces and sometimes you'll want to throttle him.

I fully expect him to become a top 6 player in the coming years if he's given time to play and time to develop, he's still young and can play almost anywhere on the pitch. I'm actual really surprised we've let him go but he's unlikely to get in the team ahead of fuchs, albrighton, mahrez, musa and gray so I can understand it.

Good luck with the season, would love for you guys to stay up as long as it's not at our expense!

I guess we have been forgiven for the flag incident then.

Hi there

Leicester fan here just wanted to wish Schlupp the best really, hope he's as good for you as I think he potentially could be. People talk about him having no brain, etc but that is the usual forum folk having a pop at professional footballers whilst sat in their sad little pants at home. Sure you have the same folk in here as we do over in the Foxes forum.

He may not be the most technically gifted player in the world but he was a proper cult figure at Leicester no matter what some of our more miserable fans say. When people say he has some pace and power I would actually argue he is the strongest player I have seen play for us and one of the fastest too, he is, to use a footballing term, an absolute beast.

He is still relatively young and reckon he could be a fans favourite. He goes from looking like the best player in the world to falling over his own aces but that's why most of us loved wee Jeff. Give him the ball, let him run directly at (through) players, ignore his sometimes woeful crossing and enjoy the force of nature that is the Schluppinator. I'll miss the wee fella.

Good luck Jeff.

X

Yannick Bolasie mark II

I'm not knocking him really as no doubt he will be better than some of our players. I am knocking the price. £5-6mill sounds about right from what they have been saying.

$5-6m for a 24 year old who last season played more than half of the games in a Premiership winning side? Righto.

I agree he may not be worth $12m under normal circumstances, but the money swilling round the league this year, combined with our dire straits and the generally inflated market that is the January transfer window, makes this far from normal circumstances.

Not convinced at all with this signing. He is neither one thing or another in terms of his position and if you think Bolasie was erratic wait till you see him ! I'm a bit bemused with this signing and the price !

In our position we need a modicum of reliability with players in their specialist positions not those who are PL one minute and 'Sunday League' the next.

But as ever he might surprise me under Allardyce's coaching and man-management etc.For our sake let's hope this is a brilliant signing.

Schlupp will help to tie up the leaky left flank. He needs to play week in week out which he never did at Leicester. He has great energy, gets up and down the pitch quickly, strong committed player. Could easily turn out to be a bargain at £12m

All season we have had square pegs in round holes. Schlupp has a great left foot something Ward and Kelly don't have.

Looked decent enough today considering that he signed yesterday and came on as a sub in a generally humiliating performance. Same for Rémy. Everyone else was appalling in the second half.
