Who do the HF think they are ? They are a p!ss in the ocean of Palace supporters yet seem to think that they can speak for all of us. Nobody takes them seriously anyway, neither Palace or any other supporters. I doubt they'd be here if we were in the third division, like many of us were before most (if not all) of them were even thought of. If they're unhappy with the crap being served up now, feck knows what they would have thought of the mid 80's.

Wow. Has any of the stuff in that first paragraph actually ever happened at the Selhurst-Bowl? Hard to take them seriously when they are bemoaning us for losing our uniqueness whilst referring to themselves as Ultras and acting like an offshoot of Anonymous. Notice that they save all their best anti-establishment banners for when the Sky cameras are in town as well. Massively appreciative of the contribution they have made to the Selhurst atmosphere over the last few years but wish they'd leave the political bollocks out of it.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

Ultras? Very South London. 'We're the boys from SE25.' Really? Not CR2, CR8, RH2 and RH8? Reigate and Oxted? Cringe song anyway. Stick to songs and what you're appreciated for.

Wow, what hatred towards a bunch of fellow Palace fans it's quite distressing. Didn't see anything claiming to speak for all, it just appears to be their opinion. One they're not entitled to it seems. Edited by Dangermouse (05 Jan 2017 11.54pm)

If you have listed to the SP interview on HolRadio (thanks guys - excellent work), the lights doubled from 900 lumens to 1800 lumens per light to cope with the demands from Ultra HD transmissions. They cost £1m to install. So, this is one of the side issues of being a PL club. The cost of being a well run and up to date PL club. At least if we do get relegated, which SP is hurting about right now and doing his level best to avoid by appointing BFS before its too late, there is a lasting legacy of great pitch, improved facilities, better lights, better training ground and new academy to show for it. Another cost to the club apparently, is to install 100 disabled access points in the ground - this may mean ripping out up to 3000 seats in the summer to accommodate this and to comply with PL rules. Also, it is fair to the less able to be free to watch their beloved CPFC, as the rest of us able bodied folk can. Yes, the PL is the "greed" league, but remembering where we were 6 and a half years ago, we have a well run club, with no debt, and in the PL. Who, in their right mind, would not have wanted that on 1 June 2010? Some fans need to get a grip!

No they weren't lol Rudi, after reading a number of your replies it seems everything you've said is just childish name calling lol. I sit near and have pals in their section.. They've not sung a song about Pardew for months. Another comment I've seen a few times was "where were they in the 80's.." and "they're all from Reigate and Oxstead?".. So what? Must you be from within the SE25 postcode range and over 40 to support the club "properly"? Some of you people on here get so high and mighty. As an earlier poster said, nothing is forcing you to join in with their boring songs.. The same way they chose to stay neutral and not join in with the ridiculously boring Pardew out chants and arguements up the back of block B! Get a grip people. Stop moaning about a bunch of young men living life how they want.. go and live your life how you want?

I do agree to some extent with what the HF are saying. They have not put their point across that well though. I couldnt give a stuff about Free T-shirts and supposed piped music. When we were in the Championship i think every paying fan thought they were part of the club, by turning up each week we were putting money into the club to help keep it going. The owners would communicate with the fans and listen to issues. Steve Browett had his own thread on the BBS that fans would ask when the toilets were being fixed to how many away tickets we had sold. There was a personal touch and a feeling of togetherness. Often opinion of the fans was important, like the badge change. Now its disjointed, Our ticket money is a very tiny percentage of the turnover, There is very little interaction from the Club or owners. We do not matter anymore. The influx of new supporters is great but most add nothing to the atmosphere and imo the newbies that have not endured some of the bad times like the rest of us are the most negative at games, Abusing our own players and booing. I am not saying its all newbies but the hardcore going in the Championship didnt act like that. I can see us slowly turning into Chelsea,Arsenal off the pitch and its hard to swallow as i have mocked their fans for years for turning up and the only noise they make is to moan. We will end up like Chelsea with our away support being made up mostly of the hardcore fans that dont enjoy homegames like they used to. I feel like that now, At away games you get the feeling of togetherness. The HF have also created a divide with some of the songs that only they sing. If nobody else joins in they should stop singing them as it becomes a droaning noise that kills the atmosohere. Bring back some of the old songs and the rest will join in.

There is some right re: away fan cosiness and a lot ridiculously incorrect or hypocritical tosh in that digital flyer. 1. Light shows. Same as the TV gantries for more TV views. We have no choice. We have to adhere to their rules. The money has to be spent on them and we wouldn't have the money to spend on them if it wasn't for the Prem. 2. Selhurst referred to as Stadium Bowl. WTF? I mean, what THE F*CK? I've never heard that, ever. Maybe if you're watching via a US or Canadian channel. 3. Since admin our teams have been built on local lads? Clyne, Scannell, Zaha, Punch (who was a Wimbledon youth and only came when we could fulfil his ambition, not that I'm knocking him for it). Apologies if I've missed out any others but you can count those on the fingers of one hand, over 7 seasons. 4. Leaders working as a team. 'LOSING' Jedinak and sidelining others who inspired the support? Erm, it was the manager they couldn't stop singing about who 'LOST' ahem, Jedinak and sidelined others, nobody else. Ask Speroni next time you speak to him. Pulis wanted characters and they disliked him. Pardew doesn't want them and they adore him. 5.'As we move towards a bland generic Premier League identity, we change expectations which lead to negativity.' Just f*** off. If you were old enough to be at Highbury when we went down, or any season from the top tier then you will know how much it hurts, globalisation or not, and how much we want to stay. Do us all a favour. We respect the atmosphere but there are 24,000 fans at home, not 60. And tell the media attention seeking idiot with the 'Corruption not welcome' banner to think about our future and not his messages to the world. Nobody cares. We care about staying up. Just get behind the players and stop trying to kid yourselves the world is listening. (I agree with not making the away fans feel cosy) Spot on mate and that f***in day at Highbury still haunts my soul!
