Whilst there are many opinions on here that I don't agree with and I've probably posted a few myself, Willo is the only poster who continues to repeat complete and utter nonsense in the face of incontrovertable evidence. Clattenburg has finally admitted his error in the cup final - everybody else already knew it pal. Edited by palace-metros (30 Dec 2016 7.20pm)
Before you criticise someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticise them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes. |

Why do some of us care so much about this bloke? Sure, he has made some cock ups when officiating our games, but we're starting to sound like Brighton fans chirping forever about palace. In my opinion, he is a fool and i would have thought that was evident - tattoo's, ass licking, media seeking sell out.
This was once a quality forum.... |

Because he officiated our last game and he has just given an interview where he admitted he was wrong in the final. Much to the embarrassment of one poster. It will all die down after Sunday's game.

1. He never called them "Huge errors" and I for one don't consider them as such. 2. Definitely not enough contact on Zaha to warrant a penalty indeed arguably Zaha made contact with the defenders leg.One can imagine the furore on HOL if a penalty had been awarded against us for the same incident. There would be cries of "Cheat" and all that pillaver. With all due respect to your answers, on 1. as a CPFC fan and as neutral observers roundly agreed on - they were huge errors and game changing ones at that. On the Wilf incident, I would suggest that you revisit the incident (there are several good videos and GIF snippets on the internet and Twitter) and look at the right arm of Holebas who as he came in to challenge pushed Wilf in the back. Wilf then stumbled forward onto Holebas' right leg, causing Wilf to imbalance and fall. A clear foul, and as it appeared to be inside the box, a penalty. I have never commented to one of your responses before, but your constant contrarian attitude on this board over many years, leads me to believe that despite your protestations as being a balanced CPFC fan, I for one, am clutching at straws to understand if that is the case, or even if you are just a very polite, if insistent troll! No offence meant.

Well they were hardly good goal scoring opportunities, denial of a penalty or perfectly good goal ruled out. If you do not think the foul on Wickham was a good goal scoring opportunity you know very little about football.

He also went on to say ""People will say that's not the referee's job but referees can help and allow the game to move a little bit quicker than normal. That's my satisfaction: if you get a really good game of football." I can see exactly where he is coming from. You hear people say that they hardly noticed the referee and that is a good referee - this is probably a referee who doesn't blow up for every minor foul and let's the game flow.Game and man management allied to enforcement of the laws. So why not play the advantage rule? Agree with this comment...unfortunately you always "notice" MC thanks to his wanting to hog the limelight, therefore by your own statement he cannot be a good referee

I have supported Palace since the 60s, and I might be a number of things but what I am NOT is a "Wind up merchant". As for Wickham being "One on one", the whistle had gone the defender stopped and the goalkeeper also stopped as he had heard the whistle. Wasn't he on the floor, the goalkeeper stopped because of the whistle.. please do not try to defend in the indefensible
