Even the media has picked up his inept refereeing at our games. They have stated out of fifteen games we drew 7 and lost 8 which is unprecedented for any team. They also mentioned the way we lost the FA cup match so we are not alone in not trusting the jerk. Suppose Clattenburg was responsible for Mata and Lingard scoring.

No but Cluntenburg should have given us more than he did and maybe the game would have ended a lot differently as most of the media has said. He dislikes our club intensely and we will never win a game with him in charge which again the media has suggested.
Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

Suppose Clattenburg was responsible for Benteke missing the penalty which would have given us all the points. And all those games we haven't won whilst he has been refereeing have all been down to him !!! Dear oh dear oh dear.

Edited by Willo (29 Dec 2016 3.53pm) Nobody made any such claim and you know it. What was claimed is that this referee does not apply the Laws fairly and consistently and that we suffer a net disadvantage as a result relative to certain other clubs. I find the evidence for that claim compelling and your best counterargument seems to consist of a series of press releases and ad hominems. Edited by chateauferret (29 Dec 2016 4.03pm)

Edited by Willo (29 Dec 2016 3.53pm) It is ALL the dubious decisions he makes throughout the game that is against us. Like not giving us a penalty when we should have one (I was surprised he gave one in the last game) his bad one sided decisions are so obvious I am sure the fourth official walks round with his eyes shut. Also the ref association official that is at all matches NEVER ever picks ANY ref up for bad refereeing and I have written to the FA and Refs Association about but they will never reply as they are a law unto themselves as some EX TOP refs will say the same. You can stick up for refs all you like but you will never convince most fans in all leagues that referees do a fine job in fact the usual outcry is that they need more training and more watching. Lets hope they bring in video replays sooner than later then Cluntenburg can stand by he will get shot down in flames and will not be picking up any more Fixed awards....Thank God.

The reality is controversy and Clattenburg have never been far away. The list is long. Dodgy financial dealings, inappropriate comments to players, poor decision making, (Everton wouldn't There has NEVER been a British referee with the amount of controversy that he has yet you laud him as some sort of paragon of virtue. Dodgy around a pound and dodgy around a whistle.

Dodgy around a pound and dodgy around a whistle. He was cleared of the allegations regarding racist comments. As for "Poor decision making", he was awarded 3 major cup finals this year, is the World's top referee and he is lauded by the refereeing fraternities around the world. I stand "Four square" behind my comments on this thread and I really believe that it is high time that I leave it at this as I have nothing more to add. I shall allow the "Anti-Clattenburg" fraternity to continue their tirade. Edited by Willo (29 Dec 2016 4.47pm)
