Apart from inapickle, posters are forgetting how well we did, especially away from home, when AP arrived. That was a great season. I fear Fate has been unbelievably cruel to him I wonder what his future holds in store. Fate and cruel to him my &rse. If he was sacked because of a 6 game run and nothing more I could agree with you but he had ample chances but threw them away, never thinking conservatively or further ahead than the next attack. Sunderland away West Brom home His 1st year success came from attacking for the win. Ironically his 2nd year was a similar intention and lost nearly every week apart from league wins that only just needed 2 hands to count them on. Every manager at our level has tests of unfortunate luck of results and injuries but they get through it with a couple of draws or smash and grab. Not him. Only Swansea away last season and Southampton at home this season when he knew the axe was hovering over his head did he adapt. And people say he really cared. Cared about himself a lot more like.

I don't care about the reason he lost the England job. The only thing I care about is whether he keeps us up or not and I think he will.

Have another read of that. 'this record has been rather unfortunate to the degree of embarrassing', then, 'but to suggest we were going down without any question of doubt can not and never been proven.' You really are proving to be a stubborn fool, no wonder you're in love with super al. Thank fackin God we will never 100% know but FFS it looked pretty likely we'd be in big danger of it for the whole season and that's all you need to be in for you to have a bad run of results at the end that puts you down, and super al was great at bad runs of results hey? Get back to your straw clutching. 'That sub didn't lose us the game' (didn't help drawing it though did it), 'you can't prove alan would take us down', zzzzzzz. Nah, because Parish and other intelligent owners didn't put the future of the club at risk to find out, which you and alike wanted to find out so you could prove something on here. Thank God it's Parish making the decisions (with the odd poor one, ahem, 5 year contracts for highly questionable results over months) and not the deluded on here. That just suggests you were worried. Everything we have both written and everything we are about to write considering this situation is now like the two of us on a beach and watching the tide going back and forth, you predicting when it comes in and I when it's going out. Lets just hope our new manager doesn't need a lifeboat.

..you have a point of course you do, but you do make it sound like we were fifteen points adrift at the bottom of the table with a goal diff of one hundred and fifty five, we were not in a situation of utter doooom, I await the reports from the players feelings towards his departure.

No it suggests that anyone in their right mind in charge of a professional sports team or anything would've got rid during that pitiful run of 9 months of performances. Only Palace wouldn't but finally have thank fvck. You say you wouldn't get rid because you can afford that error of judgment and that financial sledge hammer won't come down and smash you on the hands and head for being a fool about it.

Pickle, Pardew was journeying along a reversed laffer curve also known as a J Curve. Small down tick followed by long uptrend. That is what counts, that is why he has gone and nobody was willing to wait for us to be rooted at the bottom to satisfy your curiosity or avoid change because of your fear of change. If we left it till well into Jan or Feb and rooted at the bottom we'd like probably struggle to get a decent and experienced head in. Anyway get over it and enjoy it when we have a 5th and 6th season up here.

Yeah poor super al wasn't why it all went wrong. It was all because of luck. Shut up you wally. Edited by Rudi Hedman (23 Dec 2016 9.30pm)
