You'd be an idiot to say a manager isn't responsible for his team's results.

You'd be a fool to think a manager who has gone public and said he's not worried about defending is not then responsible when his club steps aside and offers an empty net game after game.

And a total f***ing arsehole for defending a manager who is out of his depth.

We will be bottom of the league New Years Day at this rate. Get the prick out now.

Has anyone seen any post match interviews, Just wondering who or what he is going to blame this time, In his pre match interview he called this a bigger game than the Southampton game. Surely he cant be happy with a draw

To clarify it's ridiculous to critise people for moaning when we concede 8 goals against poor opposition, because we are now scoring goals we should be happy?!? I also said that Hull and Swansea had s*** attacks, they do, Hull scored more goals today than they had in the previous six and Swansea scored about as many as they had all season, why do you have a problem admitting that that is s***?
If you really think that Hull are a good then you are deluded.
On the upside, knowing Palace we will get a result on Wednesday and Sunday, then lose to Watford!

So Hull are the worst team in the league?

Two weeks ago everyone said that was Swansea

Week before that is was Burnley.

There's 8-9 teams at the moment that are in danger, we are one of them but we are sitting near the top of that pile

Well said. Don't get me wrong, the jury is still well out on Pardew but the ref was shambolic today not the performance and we did well to get a point under those circumstances

Looking at some positivity :

We have fought back at Sunderland from 2-0 down to win, fought back from 2-0 down to make it 2-2 at Burnley, fought back from 3-1 down at Swansea to lead 4-3 and fought back today after going behind. This suggests the players are playing for the manager.

Whilst we are conceding too many we are scoring freely, a problem that has been rectified from last season, we are not in the relegation zone and the 'Transfer Window' opens in 3 weeks.

Unless we slip into the relegation places and there is a real danger we might lose our PL slot then Pardew will remain in situ.He has the backing of the 'Board' at the present time.Don't expect any dramatic news in the near future.

Because he is responsible for coaching and training of players. Apparently they had to ask for more defensive training prior to the Saints game.

He is also responsible for match preparation, playing style and tactics. The standard of these for most of this year has not been good enough, plenty of evidence in our last 4 away matches.

Ultimately it has gone on long enough now to definitely be Pardew's fault. Either he is not capable of organising the players to defend effectively full stop, or at least not able to motivate them to follow his instructions. In both cases the buck stops with him.

I wanted to believe that we were turning back in the right direction after last week, but today was all wrong again - despite salvaging a point.

You believe that bulls*** PR statement. Did it really happen? Set plays are practised every week, I know it's hard to believe, but we maybe have found a way to defend them without grappling after the last two games.
That statement was put out to make it look like the players cared and he listened IMO.
It's team shape without the ball that is killing us. There seriously can't be a worse team without the ball than us and concentration levels are awful.
As for the usual Cabaye scapegoat stuff, AP had to take Macca off as he was limping. Cabaye and the manager didn't allow themselves to be bullied and nutmegged for the 2nd, so how they can be blamed for them is beyond me.
As for the 3rd Ledley just let Livermore run off him so easily it was embarrassing.

The manager has to take some of the blame, if it was an anomaly then it would be unfair to blame Pardew but it isn't; this week defense is happening week after week. The players don't know what they're doing or they have no faith in the managers tactical set up. Pullis had the same back 4 (if not weaker) yet we were rock sturdy at the back and every team Pullis goes to is the same.

My point here isn't to praise Pullis but it is purely to show that an effective manager can have a positive impact on a team.

Pardew is out of his depth and if we do go down I will be thankful for the past few seasons as in my time of being a Palace supporter we have been a Championship team. But if we want to remain a premier league team it is time for change, any longer and we will get relegated.

Under Pulis we had a back 10 not a back 4
Obviously we need to strengthen our defence in the transfer window we only have 2 of our first choice back 4 fit.I am not a massive Pardew supporter but we are so close to having a very decent side in the last window we addressed the attacking situation and are now scoring for fun.Yes there is work to be done but surly chopping and changing managers every couple of seasons will not help us build a decent all round side.Pape's injury has hit us hard this season if we can replace him in Jan, get another right back and another center back we should shoot up the table.I am frankly stunned by the attitude of some "fans" on here do you really expect us to win every game? This season we have never really been out of any game, Yes we have made some silly mistakes and lost a few games we perhaps should have won. This is the premier league there are no easy games all teams have the ability to beat any team in the league.we are doing ok for a small club with , compared to other teams a low budget. We still have work to do but are moving in the right direction.

Thinking of Ledley, some of his passing was shocking.

Surely not? Wasn't he the saviour and bringer of clean sheets / answer to having Cabaye in the team?

Traffic cones are quite effective at stopping unwanted incursions. Bit unfair on them.
