I think we are all agreed that we should of got at least 6 points from those 6 recent defeats.
Schoolboy errors and Pardew errors.

The League is a Marathon not a sprint 24 games to go.

Upper mid table would be 8th for me. We are 6 points, but more importantly 6 teams behind that.

That is a big gap. It isn't just two wins. It is two wins and all those other clubs lose.

And do you not think every set of fans can say "we should of got at least x more points from those x games" but there was this silly mistake or that substitution?

The fact is we have not. No we haven't played badly in all of them and I'd argue we probably should have gotten a point against City. We *should* have taken more against Burnley and Swansea but errors on the part of the manager (and the ethos he is enforcing on the team) meant we didn't.

Even the individual errors you can say are due to the pressure the players feel because Pardew is forcing them to play a style of football they are clearly not comfortable playing or or competent enough to play.

I want Pardew to do well. But I don't expect him to or think it's realistic to hope he will anymore. And nor am I convinced he has the tactical ability or respect of the players to drive sufficient improvements. The Southampton clean sheet appears to have happened in spite of him, rather than because of him.

Midlands Eagle -- when would you admit he should stay and that you had it weng? I'm much more interested in actual points than ephemeral things like 'we need to set up right ' or 'performances must improve'

I think over time you get the points you deserve barring a bit of luck here and there.

So...when?

Just to add my 2cents,I fully expect 3 points on the board following a win against a sorry, woeful Hull tomorrow ,apparently one of the worst sides ever to grace the Premiership.
However, should the unthinkable happen and we lose, we will be under huge pressure going into the next 2 very difficult games, where defeats may make Pardew's position untenable.

We may win against Hull, but if we don't Pardew won't be sacked. This ridiculous calling for sackings before every game, if people don't get the want is just daft.

There are a band of posters, who regurgitate the same old stuff nearly every day about Pardew.

The reality is, we are an average Premier team with an average manager, its that simple and it won't change in the foreseeable future. Going on about how much we have spent is irrelevant as other teams have as well.

Nobody is going to admit they are wrong, that's the world we live in.

And your answer to the question was, I must have missed your erudite exposition?

I was in up until Swansea, it wasn't the fact we lost that changed my mind but shipping 5 goals when we were focusing on a clean sheet.

I am now a reluctant out, I will change my mind based on a combination of performance, points & final position. What that is I am not sure but if pushed probably finish somewhere between 10-14th.

Edit: I say final position but actually it could become apparent before then that he has restored my faith in him

I would say this is me. We get no where chopping and changing managers like some of you want. Swansea hurt, really hurt. So i'm reluctant and hope he gets it right
