It was a bit of a puff piece really, but I suppose if Jim White really got stuck into the guests they'd have trouble getting anyone on. Parish made a big deal about AP's win rate at the club being 44% However, what the presenters failed to pick up was the fact the vast majority of those wins were in his first 12m at the club. Also not being fans there was no discussion prompted by the hosts about abject AP disasters like Yaya Sanogo, Patrick Bamford, Emmanuel Adebayor, Alex McCarthy, Jordon Mutch, Loic Remy, Steve Mandanda etc. etc..... Why should they mention it, it's irrelevant. It's 41% regardless of when the wins occured. What they should have picked up on though is that his lose rate is 44%, leaving only 15% of draws. From this he doesn't have difficulty getting wins, it's turning draws into defeat is the problem - Swansea and Burnley the most recent examples. He needs to learn to hold on to what he's got sometimes.

I still want to know why he sold nearly half the club to the Yanks? Was there any actual purpose? Nothing is happening with regard to their investment as far i can see. It's not enough anyway to make a significant difference on or off the field. Way less than half Sky money for a season.

Summary of what was said... We've been masters of our own downfall Well, admittedly I haven't read following comments as you deserve top praise for pinpoint interview feedback. Don't care if I am a lone force, but I completely concur with Parish's sentiments. Pardew, I don't blame, for being forced to speak in heat of the moment e.g. post match interviews. It was VERY clear last Saturday how he publicly expressed his appreciation to Parish and The Board.

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

Parish taking the pressure off when there currently isn't any being 3 points from danger. Who would have thought it? Did Parish come on air anywhere last week? No. Will he if we slip back very close to danger? No. But then he might have to make a decision if it goes t1ts up. Like he said, there is pressure in the job, Alan appreciates that and appreciates Parish's backing, but that lasts for so long. Start doing his own cavalier cr&p or discarding that thing called defensive planning that wins matches as much as attacking does and he'll be out. I don't know if he actually thinks that having more dangerous attacks and not much thought into anything else all week will really out fox 19 other managers or what. I wanted us to win v Southampton and I want us to win v Hull. Do I think Pardew is for us long term? I have serious doubts. People talk about licence to make transfer errors but half of his have failed. I take no pleasure in seeing us fail and having to sack managers. For too long home games have been a chore. But then long winless runs are very risky to us. He has to start looking at the fixture list and cementing points to take pressure off the next games. But what he does is mount pressure on himself by going hell for leather and dropping 1,2,3 points and then trying to desperately to get them back in the next game. Happened last season and again this season. Then there's the hope or lack of acknowledging a player could get injured where we have no cover and don't go for for anyone. Amateur. Then play a player for 2 months when he gets crucified every week and the oppo target him as a weakness. Turns out the players got through to him on that one. You could excuse some things happening now and then but his errors happen for months and over 2 seasons. And people said he'd learn. Sorry but jury is still out. I'm not surprised Parish might give him a bit more time. He extended his contract to 5 years. Beat Hull and it gives us a free go at the big teams. Draw or lose and Alan will possibly revert to go for 0 on the roulette wheel again, because that's what he does. It's like a kind of vanity football. Or more like the business adage. 'Turnover is vanity, profit is sanity.' Look at the usual suspects picking up those draws through the season and then us on WWLLLLLWLWLLWWLLLLWLLL. Very risky. Nothing to see there. The money is/will be spent on salaries and some more cladding. No shiny stadium. Still don't see the actual point of selling 40% of the club. It hasn't done anything of note.
