We are underachieving but only by about three points so far. Disagree mate. History shows that how teams finish seasons often dictates how they start seasons. There'll always be exceptions so stats should be treated as indicators nothing more. However, when you have a stat of 11 months that doesn't seem to be going anywhere how can you ignore it?! And I can bet you now that this 'stat' will continue into 12 months ... guaranteed! The pro Pardew camp are clutching at very short straws now and expecting everyone to conveniently dismiss the 1st 5 months of 2016 is madness!

It hasn’t been good since the turn of the year, of course but this calendar year thing is getting on my tits. Comparing our form in an arbitrary period against clubs in massively inferior divisions is retarded. We haven’t even been in the relegation zone in 2016. Not to mention we had our second only major cup final this year as well. It may be time for Pardew to go soon and if there is a proper plan for a replacement, I’ll be happy but mindlessly trying destabilise the club with childish whining doesn’t help anyone.

I was always in the 'he deserves to be allowed to keep the post until New Year' from last Feb-May when things were rotten result wise and I am sticking to that. He hasn't lost the players that is obvious so, hopefully, a few decent results out of the next six or seven games and you will have to put up with him all season and next

Ok, just compare it against the form of all the relevant teams i.e Premier League - we are still rock bottom. Yes the calendar year is arbitrary but it does show that we have not been good enough for the equivalent of 80% of a season and I think what concerns people is that there is absolutely no sign of that changing. We are losing games the same way as we were 6 months ago. I'm not particularly Pardew Out but i'm wavering and will certainly have made my decision by 5pm on 10th Dec (Swansea Away).

Wrong Beastie, it's called debating and that involves differing points of view and what this forum is all about!

He just needs to improve them more.

Maybe he's gone there to clue up on American football? That's actually a step in the right direction because he could spend the next international break clueing up on English football!

True but screaming for the managers head, without a thought to the reality of that, isn’t really debating. In the unlikely event that we get a result tomorrow, these comments will melt away which shows how reactionary they are.
