Yes and for that we are thankful. However, he is not the person to move us forward anymore as results in 2016 prove. So time to move on and no room for sentiment now ...

I'm more concerned about us retrograding under him, particularly at the back. Need much more solid performances up to Xmas. If there is no improvement then a change must surely come and we are back to getting a manager mid season to pull us out of the mire, the same position we were in when he joined. Presently we are not an established team in a very competitive league, so moving to the next step is in my opinion a little premature.

I want Palace to do well regardless of who is in charge.

agree but for that to happen he has got to be far more tactically aware; have the players 100% behind him and
start taking responsibility publicly for when we lose as well as the plaudits when we win.

Oh, your the guy that opens the door for them with they go into the press room? or do you serve the tea and sarnies?.
I thought your job was pushing Trollys in Sainsburys.

LOL !

These people do a good job and I don't decry their efforts or look down on them from a parapet.

Oh, and with an inherited squad with way too many Championship level players.

It's just that you all seem to have forgotten.

Just in case it's slipped your mind :

1. Super Al now has a squad with wages that are the 20th highest in Europe and 11th in the premier league.
2. He has spent more money on players than any other manager in our history.
3. He has the lowest points average in 2016 not just in the premier league but the whole of the 4 divisions in England.

So in summary we have invested unprecedented amounts of money in transfers and wages and achieved the worst return in the whole of English football in 2016.

Its all just relative, not an entitlement to satisfy expectations.

I remember a charlton mate of mine saying this about Curbs. Now he admits he was wrong. I hope that our club doesn't make the same dreadful mistake. As hard as it is at times, building over a long period makes sense.

So we are playing quite well, Puncheon and Zaha are worrying their defence with good runs and balls into the box and there are two strikers in there causing them problems. One all.

So what does our coach do? Takes one of them off and puts a squad midfielder on instead.

Genius.
