Bad town planning, only a few tube stations, Croydon is its biggest place, boring surburbia, etc. It's not all terrible but huge swathes of it is pretty dismal. I should know. I lived there for 40 years Edited by Kermit8 (16 Oct 2016 2.51pm) Agreed. I'm back here after 15 years in Australia and it is brutal. The biggest culture shock besides prison(I'd imagine). I love London more than anything. But Croydon I'm afraid, is just horrendous.

If our players had shown as much grit, feistiness and bouncebackability as the op, we would have won the match. He was duffed up badly while representing his club. IMO, the least the club should do is offer him a couple of complimentary tickets for the next home match - either in the directors' box, seated next to Steve Parish and Mark Bright , or in the away section where he can give their fans large to his heart's content.

2 questions. And I don't have any opinion of you whatever the answers because you're already dealing with the physical and mental effects of the attack, like a cat does after a fight. Were you singing anything provocative? One of the attackers said 'they are ain't they' before the punches. Were you singing towards them alone? Bit risky if so. I don't mean to sound sanctimonious because although I wouldn't do this alone, I may do with others. I did after the play off final v West Ham in Cardiff. If they had got at us the sort around us wouldn't have helped so luckily they didn't get to us.

I am glad you don't live here. We don't need your sort. Of course, savage beatings don't happen down your way, do they?
